Vodafone SIM 600 Xnet mins Unlimited Texts £8.85 after cashback 12 months Contract

32
Found 8th Oct 2009Made hot 12th Oct 2009
Took this out through quidco at the end of Sept, tracked the same day at £15.00 ( this is mentioned by quidco, so don't worry.)
Validated today the 8th Oct. to the correct amount £70 to be paid Dec.

12 x £14.68 = £176.16 - £70 = £106.16 / 12 = £8.85

Not bad for a 12 month contract 600 minutes and unlimited text if you don't need a phone.
Personally I can do with low costs now and will look for a newer phone in a years time.

Just Remember That Cashback Isnt Guaranteed

Red hot!!

hot indeed.

I have had £hundreds not paid out by Quidco this year, their support is awful, and I would encourage others not to base their purchases around them possibly paying you. Raising tickets gets sloppy responses, their systems are inadequate, making you re-enter the whole transactions details, when their systems already have this information, and I've got to the stage that, were it not for encouraging competition, I wish they'd go bust - after ensuring that all of their owed cashback is paid to us, the customer.

Be wary and shop around for other sources of cashback, until they get their act together - they are leaches on us, the public, at the moment, and treat us with near contempt. That said, I have received cashback from them this year, albeit after having chased them many times, to get some of it - but not all I'm owed.

Good point  but you could say that about all companies, some you get great service, other people report bad experiences.
Suppose I've been lucky, received around £900 over 3 years and my other half about £450. Some do take a long time, insurance seem to be the worst, I've got one outstanding since January, but after a few emails I've received all the money in the past.
This contract you have 7 days to cancel from when you receive their welcome letter. Quidco had validated @ £70 by the time I received my letter, so if nothing is showing by then I would cancel it.
Hope this helps ;-)

I have a small adjustment to the calculation as VAT returns to 17.5% from January and the monthly rate of 14.68 (VAT inclusive) is calculated at the current rate of 15%. So in fact there would be 3 months (oct, nov, dec) at 15% and 9 months at 17.5% making it:-
3 x £14.68 + 9 * £15.00 = £179.04 - £70 = £109.04 / 12 = £9.09
still a good deal though!

I agree with this post, and quidco is the worst offender. You have to base the deal without the cashback.

Of course the is a great price. But after buying a Vodaphone sim during the summer, to take advantage of their summer international calls promo, Vodaphone have convinced me not to use their service as my main service provider.

I found the registration page did not work most the time, and the phone registration process to be flawed. Customer service seemed alright, but were ultimately not very useful.

I have bought numerous deals based on Quidco and am yet to have a problem. Have had a similar experience for even longer with Rpoints too. It is like saying don't base your choice of mobile contract on mobile supplier cashback or gifts because you sometimes have to fight them for your money, ipod or whatever.

When your cashback fails are you going for a deal numerous times (like two Voda contracts in quick succession)? Are you clearing cookies and ONLY going through the Quidco site? Are you chasing missing transactions whilst in your cancellation or return periods? Sorry to hear that some people have problems with these sites, but I would imagine that is far less common than things going smoothly.

Give them a ring and ask for the 600mins + unlimited texts sim only for £9.79pm. Otherwise you're off to O2. ;-)

just a point on the quidco. i got this deal a little while ago, got the samsung tocco lite too, which carried £5 quidco. contract has £70 quidco. both have tracked, and validated without a problem. got the first months internet for free which is cool!

here is a vopy and paste of my quidco for proof: (although i guess i could have just typed it!)

Excellent deal, I'm going to go for it and hang onto my current handset.

Not had a problem with Quidco although sometimes the links don't work from the site, just remove the front part of the URL in the new browser that opens and it should be fine.

Had 1 issue with lastminute.com purchase not tracking but logged a ticket and it was sorted a week later. Money came through in the end.

If something isn't tracking, attempt to log a ticket which will at least show if Quidco recorded the transaction in the first place. Half the people whinging probably have no idea what they're doing which is a common issue on this site.

I've had about £250 back via Quidco in 2 years.

Got the same deal on Orange. under 20 quid a month. 1 Month contract. 150 quidco, works out about £11 a month.

Editing cos I just checked and the £150 Quidco is no longer available.

Orange network coverage is pants compared to Vodafone though

Hi mate,

yes i too am with vodafone and contract ending end of this month. I called asked for pac to leave and go to o2 and a few days later i got a call asking why leaving.(been with voda for 4 years now)

Guy offered me 600 mins and unlim texts 12 month contracts sim only for £9.79 (same as many ppl been getting on this site)

I exlpained that i still didnt think it was good enough and wanted unlimited internet and also main reason i was leaving was my discount last year ended at month 9 and not 12 and i was not told about this when i agreed 12 months ago.

He then came back offered £30 cash refund for the 3 months £10 loss and also said he would include unlimited internet all for total £10 pcm

He did explain this really was a great offer they really dont normally do and i immediately agreed and accepted!

Just so you guys know it is possible!

Hi, yes you can, but with Vodafone only when you order. Obtain you pac code from your existing provider first then when you place your order through quidco, Vodafone will ask if you wish to port your no' then tap it in.

Is Vodaphone a new mobile operator ? Vodafone I am sure will be having something to say about somebody using a name so similar to theirs...:whistling:

Cheers it is indeed!

Having just applied for this I notice after 3 days nothing is showing on Quidco I hope it does appear as I cancelled an Orange contract with 2 months remaining as I knew the £70 cashback would more than cover the cost of the buy out

Don't hold your breath on cashback from Voda - I am owed £40

Mine has tracked on a 30 day contract but still not validated - 3 months after the due payment date

making me think I should jump ship soon
