nice
Stonking deal for 20GB 5G data. Let alone the entertainment.
Nice deal, then back to £26 after 12mth.
I purchased this yesterday. Be careful though, on the foneshop website it says it comes with global roaming plus (I.e can use free roaming in 77 countries including us aus and canada) however if you look at the identical plan on the vodafone website it says it only comes with standard global roaming which is basically the EU.

I did contact fonehouse and the reps said that it should be the plus version, as they often get special deals compared to going direct.

I will await to see what happens when I activate the sim

Then time to switch again..I've been switching every year back to Voda. Port out to Asda Mobile then back to Voda..no need to top up asda sim either to to get a pac code. I also say every year that I'm going to leave vodafone as the service is sometimes slow in terms of data speeds even well on full bars of 4g..every year a deal like this comes along...and I need spotify premium and I'm still here with voda. It's a no brainer lol

As I suspected, this tariff comes with Global roaming and not global roaming PLUS.
After inserting the sim my vodafone account says free roaming in 44 countries not 77.

I have been back and forth with fonehouse and vodafone direct. Apparently fonehouse think their deal is with 77 as far as they know and they are going to look into it.
I got 8gb for just over a fiver with three but hesitant to sign up to this incase the fonehouse goes bust like phones4u then won't get any cashback
Tempted by the unlimited data - could I use the SIM in a router? My wired broadband is a bit carp (~8Mb/s).
I would have signed up for the Three unlimited data deal for £22, but I don't get good reception from them. Voda, on the other hand, gives me ~ 40Mb/s

Yes I do.
Spoken to them again today. Now they've admitted it is not global roaming plus due to "human error". More incompetence, considering I asked them several times and was constantly told I'm wrong without them checking

The resolution was.....thats tough. Either upgrade to unlimited max plan or keep what you have. They said they cant honour what they originally advertised!

Surely you can just return the contract and get one you like? Mistakes happen just like the HUKD misprice bingo. If they've mis sold it to you then I'm sure you wouldn't be penalised. They seem to be quite helpful via twitter too.
Anyone used these and mobile.co how do they compare and is the cashback as easy to apply for as with mobile.co just need a heads up on this company before committing

I've used mobiles.co.uk this year and I'm reaching the end of my Vodafone contract
No problems in cashback. For the 2 years before that I used e2save.co.uk which is part of the same company (CPW Group)
I'm with mobile.co now and it's really easy to use but not heard of the this company just wanted to know how people had got on with them cheers for replying though
I’ve ordered this. But the 36 pm deal which has the extra roaming 77 countries.

I’ve double checked this plan and it has it as per the Vodafone website.

Honestly can’t wait to get off three. They have been cheap but in central london I really struggle to get a good signal or 4g data speed.

I was thinking of moving across to three, but your comment has made me skeptical . What sort of 4g speeds you getting around london? I was hoping to get their 5g plan.

Don’t get me wrong it’s great value for money and at home my 4g is like 50mbps. But in london I struggle to get above 10. In London Bridge I get no through out. In Canary Wharf the signal is poor. I’m sure it depends on where you are. I think they are upgrading their network and I will probably come back as they are meant to have the best 5g. But for now I’ve just had enough of the crap signal where I commute and work.

Fair enough, I'm with EE and tbh not really happy with their extortionate prices .

Its not quite like a misprice error. I highlighted the discrepancy 4 times before they bothered to look into it. Each time they told me I was wrong, even when I told them my vodafone price plan on the app said 44 countries not 77. Only after them asking me to speak to vodafone myself to check as that would put my mind at ease did they finally check themselves and then quickly changed their website and didnt bother to reply to me until I called them again 2 days later to admit the error.

Hardly just a mistake and actually very frustrating.
If you don't get 5g will the signal drop to 4g, and 4g down to 3 etc...?

yes. It will work on whatever your phone supports and whatever is available in your area.
Thanks OP as it's time for me to get a new Vodafone SIM only contract.

Was going to get 20GB without the Entertainment via e2save at £11.75 net, and prefer Entertainment for £10 net obviously! Order got accepted so have to see if FoneHouse survive the 12 months of course. TCB £3.53 tracked almost immediately too.
Should be more convenient than e2save cashback as BACS transfer within 21 days (as promised, and hopefully delivered) rather than a cheque upto 60 days later.

e2save lost the business as their system rejected my address as already used - which had never been a problem in the previous 3 years

Three is cheap for a reason. Every time I rejoin them, I regret it. The customer service is alright & the usage in America etc was my reason for using them last time but the signal is poor compared to Vodafone. I am basing that on my signal with TalkMobile who are just a budget arm of Vodafone!

You're probably better off asking about Fonehouse.

I thought I read something dodgy about Fonehouse somewhere but cannot find it. They are part of KTM Online who own Mobile Phones Direct as well so at least appear to be fairly stable. The CEO is also the man behind IQ Mobile I believe & was part of Fonehouse in the past but came back. I do suggest you look at these reviews though... britainreviews.co.uk/tel…nts
Feedback on this deal for anyone: I signed up on 1/8 via TopcashBack for £3.5x potential too. I got the SIM next day. Emails and online account from FoneHouse all OKay/professional. I contacted FoneHouse to check a couple of issues and they replied within a couple of hours. Vodafone fully confirms the package offered = the one I got. So just got to hope FoneHouse remain in business for the year and I'll know by Month 3, ie October, just 2.5months away, how well they deliver the promised cashback #1.

PS: Thanks to OP for spotting this. After e2Save's system wouldn't let me complete by £11.50/m net order, without Entertainment, I was worried where to turn next The NowTV Entertainment = significant bonus and £1.50/m cheaper and no taking cashback cheques to bank/post.

PPS: I already had a Vodafone 12m from e2save (3rd contract with them from memory, but their online system rejected my address for 4th year) and I PAC'd my # out to an old Three PAYG SIM, and just in process of PAC back in to keep my favoured # on the new Vodafone. That old Three SIM was down to just £1 PAYG credit so no big deal. (Anyone else considering the best method appears to be a new ASDA PAYG SIM as you can top that up with just £1 allegedly. They took too long to post out or I'd have tried that.).

Great deal. Don't Vodafone just allow me to swap my new SIM phone number with my current Vodafone SIM? Rather than swapping my Vodafone number out to a ASDA SIM and then to the new Vodafone SIM.

No. Absolutely not. I had an hour-long chat session with them earlier this week, in which they even claimed it would be a 60-day process to go via a Vodafone PAYG SIM!

When I said it was disingenuous to tell customers that, given that it's in reality only a 2 or 3 day process via ASDA PAYG, they ended the chat

Haha jokers. I spoke to someone at Vodafone earlier and they said it can't be done, they didn't know exactly why and said it's odd. Then told me I should avoid buying SIM's from 3rd party websites. So I just cancelled my old number. I don't have any friends anyway.

I've ordered this SIM from Fonehouse but the cashback instructions are very vague thus far. It just says the following, but has no specifics about when to claim for a 12 month contract. Anyone got any further in the process and know when to set reminders to claim?

"For 24 month contracts your cash back is claimable in five installments. You need to claim in billing months 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 of your airtime agreement. Claiming is easy, you just need to login to your account section on the website and fill in a simple claim form. All claims will be paid by cheque (within 30 days of approval) and sent to the address provided on the original order."

It's definitely the Vodafone bills from months 3 5 7 9 & 12 - it was a pop-up on the original offer's page (and I confirmed in chat with them.)
So having taken out in early August = you'll get month 1 bill in August, October = 3 etc.

Thank you
FYI: One wierd thing with new SIM/contract is that "my Vodafone" app (which used to have the big clock/circle showing data allowance/usage and alongside a couple of pop-out bubbles for mins/txts) only has the data clock/circle. I've double checked that everything says unlimited mins/txts so not worried as I'm sure the monthly bill will show the #'s used, just a wierd interface issue. (I did try Vodafone tech support but got nowhere with them.)
