£15 a month

Spotify/SkySports Mobile/NowTV included for free! No cash back needed

Retention deal, was paying £25 a month for 20GB, Spotify included. Vodafone with a bit of negotiation offered me £20.80 for 16GB then a bit more negotiation £15 for 20GB with a red entertainment pack included.

Cheaper than any deal out that that I am aware of, cash back included and includes Spotify which is normally £10 a month.

Good deal for 20GB with Spotify.

I just managed to get a 20GB Vodafone retention deal without Spotify for £8.66 per month.

That's a cracker of a deal! Did you go from pay monthly with phone, or SIM only to get that deal?
This is a good deal, I am on the same tariff but via cashback and it works out at the same price.

How did you get this? is this a retention one or a new deal? I am after a new connection.
I tried to get a better deal when looking at leaving and best they offered me was 20 GB at £22.40 and that was only last week.

Guess you got lucky with who you spoke to in the end.

When you're calling vodafone make sure you know which department you're talking to. You will get connected to various different departments who have more or less power to offer a deal. I have to prepare myself at renewal for an ordeal but their deals make it worth it.

I got bounced around so much while negotiating and solidifying my last renewal (3 lines) that I almost got used to it. It was mistake after mistake because I was talking to different people in different departments and people wouldn't call back etc. Also because I negotiate such a good deal with the right people that some departments didn't think that it could exist

Also if you get messed around ask to make a complaint to the complaints department, if you have just cause they will be helpful!

The deal was had via online chat with the retention’s department.

It was a 12 month sim only plan that can be upgraded after 3 months and previous to this i was on a pay monthly with a phone.

How i got this was by getting a 20GB contract (was previously on 10GB) reduced to £12 per month and then £40 credit was applied to my account ,that then averages out at £8.66 peer month over 12 months

Ot was a new connection was through mobiles.co.uk
I'll try again in as week or so time once I'm close to my pac ending, BB but last week the didn't want to know offering me a decent deal at 12 months on 16gb red entertainment.
I’m on the phone to Vodafone at the mo! Offered 20gb for a £16 but nothing better
I just tried live chat with them. Won't offer same deal.
Cheaper on e2save
I’ve tried also, best was the deal online or £20 for 16gb no Spotify. Pretty poor for retention’s.

Not with Spotify I’ll bet...

Hi it is mate but you have to claim cashback, So you will pay £17 a month for 12 months 25gb of data with Spotify or the other entertainment options.

I've been with Vodafone since 2008. This will be my last contract with them (which I'm terminating due to the roam free changes), i've two lines at present.

Until last month I also had Voda BB Fibre (76mbit) and a landline with them. Cancelled those within the 30 days cool off, quite literally the worst BB I've had in 20 years... 0.5mbit if I was lucky. Their forums are full of horror as is their Trust pilot.

Now back with BT which is superb, moving my lines to BT mobile too (20GB, BT Sport, ULT, ULM, £15).

My own experience, but in the last 6 months their have absolutely nosedived in my estimations, their customer services and tech teams are utterly useless.
Vodafone customer service are shocking. They are useless and are no help whatsoever - I went on live chat a 18.59 and I’m still waiting for the retention team an hour and 11 minutes later. Was told I would be transferred straight away! They seem to offer deals to some people but ultimately depends on who you speak to!

i got the same deal with 50% discount like 6 months ago
my contract is 12.50 for the 25gb

"waiting for the retention team an hour and 11 minutes"

bloody hell !!! did you get through in the end what happened ??
2 hours and 5 minutes and I gave up! Instead of going down the waiting time went up! At least it gives me something to complain about when I eventually speak to them. Every year it’s a joke when the wife’s contract runs out!
The best offer I received was 8Gb, Spotify and u/l minutes and texts for £18 p/month. I currently have 2Gb, u/l mins & texts for £11 p/month. When I mentioned the OP's deal (great deal BTW!), they said this must have been due to the agents lack of understanding...
I don’t see how this a good deal when it comes to a lottery of who you speak to and how good you are at negotiating and complaining. That and Vodafone totally suck as a company to deal with.
Tried my luck today. But a complete no go. I had to spent 15 minutes explaing that it was a retention deal offered by them. But they kept on insisting that it was third party deal.

The best I has been offered is £21 per month for 16 GB with entertainment pack and £40 credit on bill. This was offered lsat Friday to me.
They are horrible to negotiate with, only managed to get 16GB entertainment Pack with £30 credit for £23.80 a month. They said that was 30% discount which was the max they could offer me.

PS: LOL with a bit more negotiating i got it down to £21 a month with £30 free credit

I think you could have pushed it up to £40 as that is what they offered me. But that was the absolute max they offered.
I'm guessing you must have been with Vodafone for a while an eligible for higher discounts than me..

Just spend an hour with online chat…I already have my pac code and have an employee advantage discount (from my employer). After a lot of crappy offers (and claiming to speak to his manager twice) the best he could do was slight improvement on £21 16gb + Spotify deal that is already in my upgrades section online:
£21pm +1 month free, guaranteed for 24 months, 12 month contract, 12 months Spotify. I also blagged a sure signal box free which I don’t really need.

If I could be bothered as a new customer it would be :£21 +£50 quidco. But id have to move my existing number to another providers payg then back to Vodafone.

im only a year old customer, there team is pretty pathetic to be honest.

We initially agreed on £23.80 a month plus £30 credit, but before i accepted the contract terms through chat window, i was browsing my upgrade section on there site when i noticed an offer saying £21 a month until 3rd may. I quickly told her about this and she said okay ill give you the same, even though before she was saying she cant go even a penny below £23.80 a month.

For the inconvenience she still gave the £30 credit on top of the £21 a month. Which i was reasonably happy with.
After getting in touch with the retention team the best I could get was Entertainment Red 16GB with unlimited calls/mins @ £21 p/m with £36 credit on my account 😔 I went for it anyway.
Ive just spoken to James from the retention team and I am now on a 20GB plan, with unlimited minutes and texts with free EU roaming for £16 a month, with a free £50 credit to my account. So effectively 16x12= 192 - 50= 142

So 142 over the twelve months is £11.83 a month.....

Vodafone did say that every offer was tailored on the customer and how long they have been with Vodafone etc, but saying that I have just finished a 12 month sim only contract, and have had sim only contract for years before this.....so no real loyalty

Is there a specific number to get threw to retentions?
I went to online chat and then ask for retention’s. You have to be in the last 30 days of your contract I think to be able to be put through. They offered me a shocking deal a week ago!

Skip that talked to online chat offered me garbage
when you get to online chat you need to ask for retentions....they are the ones who can offer discounts and credits to your account, like it was said above it depends who you talk to....very much like a lottery but just keep on trying my account has swapped over to new tariff already, so kept the chat transcript incase of any problems
You able to post the email confirmation but blank out your email . Often the chats and call centre agents tells you what you want to hear then the actual email confirmation or account summary for the number is different .
Retentions can be so hit and miss with Voda. Been with them for years but decided to go with mobiles.co.uk for their 25gb red entertainment package for effectively £16 a month which I'm happy with for my business SIM since retentions couldn't offer anything decent whatsoever. Even when I asked for my pac they couldn't offer the same package I was on at same price (if memory serves, think it was 8gb red entertainment package for £16 a month). I left a few months back to then go back to them via 3rd party mobiles.co.uk. silliness personified.
