Vodafone SIM ONLY Retention deal £27pm Unlimited Minutes, Texts & 115GB Red Entertainment plan £324

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Walked my way through VF live chat to look at renewing my SIM only contract to be offered a plan inferior to the plan I'm currently on for the same monthly cost so I asked to have my PAC sent to me to which I then got sent over to the retentions department.

The deal they offered me is as follows:

Unlimited Minutes, Texts & 115GB Red Entertainment plan.

£27 a month!

An absolute steal! I couldn't say no!

Obviously this deal wouldn't work for new customers so you would have to otherwise pick one of the new customer deals on their website. If you are in the process of renewing your contract or maybe even downgrading a phone contract down to a SIM only, this may well work for you.

Thanks for looking.

You did well....i got stuck being transferred after all security checks. I have not voted either way as I was after a tiny fraction of your 115 GB
Massive data amount by 1st tier carrier, good price

Similar RE deal, maybe SIM-only upgrade/2-year contract downgrade, £20, 10 GB data, 12-month contract
Am I missing something? How is this deal a steal?

Hey! Did you use the live chat option?, because it's the best way of getting a deal, be honest with you the interface isn't great and I used the desktop format on my phone to communicate. I never ring them to claw a deal, I find the advisors on live chat give you the best customer service possible.

A new customer deal for unlimited calls/texts 50gb data costs £30 a month or one for 40gb a month for £25 a month. I can understand the majority don't need so much data but I shared this deal as for myself I only paid an extra 1.50 a month for 65gb more data. Practically nothing. Of course feel free to try and haggle a real based around your usages. I'm sure you bag a steal yourself.

This is just the same as a new customer deal. You'd have to worm your way through the right channels and and an offer will be put on the table for you far better than what is being offered to the new customer market at the moment. For that amount, the retentions team could easily offer you double the data on a Red Entertainment plan or probably more than double. Give it a go if you don't believe me.

But it seems overpriced from the beginning. You could get 100gb Data with Three for £20 a month. If you need Spotify or other subscriptions for entertainment then you could always get it sperately without being tied into a contract.

Also, Vodafone is the worst out of the lot with their network coverage. So I really cannot see how that's a good deal tbh

Hot... 115gb for £17 if you £10 for Spotify anyway.

Out of curiosity why not? I was just going to move our lines to three tomorrow from Vodafone, interested to hear your views before I make the move thanks!

Just check out threads on this site, imo 2 tiers of carriers:

(Signal strength, coverage, internet speeds, support)

(In this order)

1. EE, O2/Voda

2. Rest, with Virgin leading pack

Really depends where you live, I have had Vodafone and it basically doesn't work inside my house three is about slow 02 good and virgin is working great currently. So it's silly comparing if anyone of them really was the best then everyone would just use them they can't all be the best or worst in every single area.

mate i moved from voda to three....worst decision of my life
i couldnt get data in the area i work and really poor signals. i cancelled and went back to Voda.

Plus they throttle data so you wont get 4g even if your phone says 4g...

stay away from three

I have a job that takes me all over the country staying in hotels therefore need lots of data to watch footie/YouTube etc so good coverage is important. Spent many an evening when I was on Three without or very slow data speeds. Switched to Vodafone and never had an issue. In my case I would pay more for a more reliable service than a service that is hit and miss in too many parts of the country. I used to pay for Spotify separately so real cost to me is £17 pm - Bargain

Right, their CS is great in personal experience. People say same about Plusnet, also off EE

I wouldn't if you like data. I pay £30 a month, but I don't need all the data. However what I get is excellent data in various parts of the world.

Been great in the UK.
In the UAE other companies wanted crazy sums for data and calls, was £6 a day if used. Great data there.
In the USA had excellent coverage at 4g, I think other providers do not give 4g and throttle, not with Vodafone. Was great listening to Spotify whilst long drives.

Oh and I get Spotify each month.

Sure there are cheaper options, but if you want decent coverage in far more places it is worth the investment. I came from Three and yes they are cheaper, but I can now see why.

So for me this is a great deal.
Just got this. Thanks op

You could do, but that's your own choice I guess. As for Vodafones coverage, it has drastically improved over the years and boasts one of the best 4g networks out there and the best roaming as well for going abroad. I won't say that the 4g network is spot on but it has surpassed 3 by a fair few miles now, they've got the spectrum to deploy high capacity 4g with neckbreaking speeds. Performs well in the west which is Vodafone controlled, lagging behind in the east as it is O2 controlled. All part of the cornerstone project really.

Yeah it's all about your location, it's whatever works best for you. Coverage for any of the 4 networks aren't perfect and is something that the UK lacks. That is deploying coverage effectively. They just can't seem to do it like some other countries out there. A lot of it is down to mast opposition by neighbourhoods, mainly who still like to live in the olden ages about masts either looking too ugly ruining the presence or something to do with the radio waves which are bad for your health etc and these are the same people who probably complain also about having no coverage either. You can't win with em.

Just got the deal after requesting pac code !!! What on earth am I going to do with 115 gb???
I was with Vodafone for 12 months up until a couple of months ago and would have stayed with them had they offered me this but they were offering a paltry amount of data. I'm now with Three roaming in Spain with only 3G whereas with VF I always got fast 4G.

Overall I don't regret moving as I have unlimited data for 15 quid but would like Spotify and 4G roaming.

No chance I was on 50gb for £25 discounted from £30. Tried to haggle it down last week on 3 different chats and all of them were willing to let me leave. It's not silly to me as I work away staying in hotels. I can use 70-80gb easily watching footie, Sky YouTube, Netflix etc in my room on an evening
