Before voting cold because of the low data allowance - this info may help someone already with Vodafone, like me who only needs a SIM for occasional low usage. After long discussion with Vodafone via 'Chat' to renew (or leave), ended up with deal for £46.50 for the year on the essentials £9.50/month package - includes 250 mins calling, unlimited texts and normally 250MB data. Vodafone offered 1st 2 months free, +2GB data per month and £30 credit onto account - plus applied Vodafone advantage discount 30% as have relative in NHS (but would also be available for loads of other companies and public services - so most people would know someone who can get this for them) - costs £10. So the nett of all that is £6.65 for 10 months + £10 for VA discount, and - £30 credit applied to account. (Threat was to leave to BT as existing broadband customer £5 per month for 500G and 400mins). If all you need is a mobile for occasional use (texts, emergency calls and the odd photo or so) then under £4 a month surely has to be a bargain - especially as where we live (rural) Vodafone is the only network with reliable indoor coverage and 4G data too (not that this phone will use much data).
