I have no experience with Fonehouse but Vodafone are okay. Not brilliant customer service but I have yet to find a mobile provider that is.
Cracking deal though! Good find 🏾
Great deal. £4 more gets you the entertainment pack included

Anyone used fonehouse b4?. Also can you claim the cashback online?

You can do it online on your account:

Are u sure there is no credit check with Vodafone contracts?

Will this sim work on a 4g phone?

Good question. I also need to know if 4G phones can run on 5G? And, If not, can anyone advise on the best value 5G phone (prefer dual sim, but could manage on single sim)?
Just ordered the EE contract for £8 a month, thanks OP! HEAT

if you are an existing voda customer with an active line then there's no external credit check from voda but an internal soft one to check you've paid your current bill. Same for companies.

if you aren't a customer of course theres a credit check

It will be like any other SIM, it works with 5G but if your phone or area doesn't have that it will drop down to the next available network, 4G, 3G ect.

We're saving more than £12 with this deal? My question would be if changing number affects the cash back claim or not.

Very hard to answer that.

Option 1: Ignore this deal of you can wait for another deal. Hopefully something will come up during boxing day. It's the risk you have to take mate!

Option 2: Take this deal if you can afford to cancel the current deal, and it's not too much pay out. Text "INFO" to 85075 to find out how much you have to pay.

Thanks Mate! That’s what I’ve been thinking but it is just tempting this deals. Haha. But I will check option 2 if it’s worth it.
Cheers

Cool, I bought this deal for my mam anyway, she likes Vodafone & Fonehouse is a good site to go for cashback deals on as you get quick cashback into your bank after a few days of claiming. She doesn't have to port a number though so no downside for her.

Quidco is a cash back website, who gives you cash back, if you buy using their website (they earn a commission).

Cash back is not always guaranteed though.

You can google quidco to learn more.

Just simply put in a cancellation notice for when your 12 months is up, ask to be put on pay as you go. Wait for the new contract to start and then simply fill the online form for keeping your number with Vodafone. Takes about 24 hours these days and you will be able to have new contract with old number. Don’t forget to tell fonehouse you have kept your old number otherwise you will have trouble claiming cashback

Hi, thanks for replying.

I just need a bit more clarification: can you or anyone here tell me if a 4G phone can make use of a 5G sim & get 5G speeds if it is used in a 5G area?
If this was any other provider I'd say good deal but unfortunately using data with Vodafone seems to happen too quickly. Idk what they do in terms of how they calculate, but it goes A LOT more quickly than with other providers.

Is there any issue with claiming at 12 months, since the contract will be ended and they can refuse cashback if not in contract?

I haven't reached that far yet, my next will be 9 months. But they ask you to send your bill for just the 3rd month to get the previous 3 for example, so you should just need to send your 12th bill for the cashback for the previous 3 months. They should honour it up to 60 days after your 12th bill date, but I can't confirm that. EE have downloadable PDFs of your bill, I assume Vodafone have similar, so should be easy to upload your bills to the site.

Do you have to ring them to tell them about the number change? Also, have you successfully done this? My sister is very interested in this deal but she's worried about not getting the cashback because of the number change.

I’ve done it like this for years, and has saved me a fortune. Mobiles.co.uk Allow number changes. Will see if I can find any info and get back to you
Info re cashback claims from Fonehouse website:

fonehouse.co.uk/faq

For 12 Month Contracts

You will need to claim your cashback in stages throughout the airtime agreement of your contract. For 12 month contracts your cashback is claimable in five instalments. You need to claim in billing months 3, 5, 7, 9 and 12 of your airtime agreement. You must claim within 60 days of your bill date.

For example if you are connected on 1st January then your first bill date will be in January. Your third bill date and your first claim will be in March. When you receive your third bill, you will need to upload this and submit your claim, via the account section of the website, within 60 days of the date on the bill.

Hope this helps
Great deal, thank you! Way more data than I need for less than I pay at the moment lol
