Price is £9.99 for the phone and £10 top-up, so if like me you don't need the obligatory top-up and can sell it on for a few quid, the price of the handset is very cheap for a 'holiday' phone.

Topcashback (not guaranteed of course) for PAYG deals is £5.25 so potentially the handset part is only £4.74 (assuming you sold the SIM for the full tenner, perhaps unlikely).

Not the greatest phone in the world at all (rubbish specs TBH, but this is for one purpose only, calling home from abroad, so 4G and space for 100's of apps is not what its for), but for a burner with Kit-Kat it'll do the job and save losing/having stolen an expensive iPhone/Galaxy S7 etc.

At 4", the internet experience will be better than these tiny phones you can buy.

Kind advice don't buy it.

It's not worth your £20.

I got this last week on same deal, put Android Lollipop 5.1 (Cyanogen 12.1) on this and still terribly slow.

Think twice your money your time.
If you also thinking to get this for a child, it's not so bad...but it doesn't play pokemon go.

No one should put their child on the mercy of this phone, that will be cruel
Is it easy to root?
Keep away, better buy moto e 2nd generation and more importantly usable

I think you're missing the point, this phone is pants, but has a 4" screen, a browser and can take a telephone call.

Remember when phones did this!

£5 for a phone, that's what it's about.

Yes the Moto E is a better phone, but how much is it?

I bought one on the £15 offer a while back for my 3 year old to use as a little games console without a sim in and it's plenty good enough!

Now I've just joined a fibre service and didn't need landline so ported my number to a VoIP provider.

Going to sell on my sim for the standard £8 round here less £5 quidco and I have this as a £6.99 VoIP handset on wifi, bargain!
Vodafone will unlock any phone if you have used a Vodafone PAYG SIM such as this in it for more than 30 days. CEX will give you a £19 exchange voucher for this phone unlocked and so if you buy the phone and then decide that you do not like it then you have only lost £1.
