Probably selling all our data off. But surely you gotta pay a one-off purchase fee, no?

I meant buy the phone and install whatsapp!

i'll change it!
I struggle to get my Grandparents to use a smartphone to call. You have to bring up the dialler and there are too many other 'buttons' to make mistakes with.

Trying to get them to use Whatsapp would not be a pleasant experience.

But I'll buy one for the kids for Christmas and video their faces when they realise its not an iPhone.
I purchased this one,and its really a very good spare phone, fast and clean with good screen size. Cheapest android in market.

Its okay until you put a google account on it then it lags allover the place.
Whats the battery life like on these?
Considering this or something similar as an mp3 player without any phone functionality. If tye battery is crap then i won't bother.

hi.. for our 80+ mum we mounted a smartphone on the wall above the TV installed an APP (hands-free answer) the phone auto answers but only numbers stored in the directory and she can see a picture of the family member calling. it answers in hands-free mode so we can talk to her anywhere in her flat works brilliantly and she doesn't have to touch the phone.

Removable Li-Ion 1400 mAh battery
Stand-by Up to 393 h (3G)
Talk time Up to 7 h (3G)
on airplane mode the mp3 player would last for some time

I vote yes. Go spend it in the Pound shops.
Great as a fitness tracker for runs and music. Got this when it was £28 about 8 months ago.

that's because you don't have prime
I have one and use it as a sporify player in the car with mifi . it is pretty brilliant

So the the trick is NOT to want to use it properly, this way removes slowness and lag?

Others have used this trick and its fast for them
this is a lot better than crappy Samsung ace or young or whatever they call them. faster and smoother with no bloatware.
Got £2 refund as a gift certificate because i recently purchased.
£22 for a workable Android touch screen smart phone.
It's quite amazing that this technology is available for such a low price.
I've got one and it's actually surprisingly usable. Not some high end Android but it's so cheap.

or use it to unlock the phone
At this price it would be rude not to really.

Not what i meant... Im getting the £18 price, no reference to a £22 price!
My girlfriend and my self bought one each to use as mp3 players on the beach in Spain as we didn't want to take iPhones in case they got nicked when we were in the sea, we put 3 sim cards in them with the "feel at home" tariff and set The iPhones to forward calls to them......£20 for an mp3 player and a "disposable phone" no worries !

Got one as a spare in case I lose / break my phone, had a play before it went in the drawer, seems fine for £20, yep not as responsive as a more expensive phone but does the job..........

I got one for my 87 year old dad. I had it set up with the free Nova launcher because it lets me increase the font size and added direct dial widgets for each contact so all he had to do was scroll through the front screens and tap whatever contact he wanted to cal once and that was it. However he just ended up calling a dozen people every day without realising it so i've had to scrap that method. It seems things can be TOO easy sometimes. Now i've installed Contacts & Dialer by Drupe which is a fairly typical contact list but lets me embiggen the text more than the others i've found and you simply double tap the name to make the call. The phone itself is set to hang up by the power button. We shall see...

Haha, yep, precisely my point. Too simple / too complicated. You lose whichever way. I stick to buying them call and text phones now. Less to go wrong, less to explain, less to remember.
4gb Android phones should be illegal! (unless that's the ram size). Getting rid of my daughters moto e 4gb because once you have Minecraft and WhatsApp installed, the phone is full. Apps stop working etc, its terrible.
