Missed out on this when it was £100 via Vodafone, but seemed a decent price to me.

Good question, I assume it is locked to Vodafone. Result if its not but I bought with the assumption I'd also need an unlock code for it.
easy cheap unlock on ebay
Got mine when it was £99. Bought unlock code & PU leather case from eBay for £2.99 and £1.99 respectively. Got a FreedomPop SIM which for a one-off payment of £6.99 should give me 200 free minutes per month forever (or until they go bust like OVIVO!). So for just under £111, my mobile needs are sorted for a couple of years!

the orlzy case is good and same eBay seller has good fitting screen protectors.
lovely phone, but mine has a crack on screen now, not even the corner shops are willing to change it.
make sure you don't brake it, as seems too expensive for a disposable phone still.
i'm on my second now, the first one kept on restarting every time you ever so slightly stressed it. This one is almost the same.

if it wasnt for the software, this phone would be perfect.

im trying to decide if the elephone p8000 would be more reliable.
Oh Prepaymania not banned anymore? Get ready for some intentional misprices to harvest email addresses!
I use for Youtube and reading and radio
Screen is great, CPU has no lag
Battery is surprisingly good ( I turn everything off)
OS install allows you edit the list of 'boot' apps
I still use Zeam launcher

Don't treat it like a disposable phone then, it'll last longer.
Don't want to spark off the haters, but is this better than an i5?
Nice phone. bought one for the wife. Only found one thing a bit annoying. When setting alarm to wake up in the morning if you mute sounds so you won't here any alerts i.e. emails you don't get alarm sounds either. I have a S5 and the alarm still sounds when I mute?

Silly question - it is obviously not as good as it is not horrendously expensive and you will not be allowed in the private huddle of iPhone users at work / school etc. because you chose to be different.
Anyone compared this to an Umi Iron? Which is best? (Assuming Iron is bought from Amazon)

haha beat me to it!
Great phone, for £100 I challenge anyone to better it
I've ummed and ahhhed about one of these for the OH, but I'm pretty certain she would break it inside of a month. She's got a second gen moto g at the moment and it's taken the drops and bumps pretty well. Main reason for upgrade is for a good camera as she's noticed the difference between my photos from a LG G2 and her moto g 2nd gen.

Tbh with the white one, youd be surprised how many people keep thinking mine is an iPhone 6 from a small distance.
This or the Umi Iron ( with discount couple of pounds cheaper) from Amazon.....?

This is a Lollipop 'feature' - since Android 5.0 mute option actually mutes the phone completely (no alarms or anything else).

The solution is that instead of muting it, set it to 'priority notifications only' ('star-like' icon) - this will have the same effect as mute in older version of Android - only certain predefined apps (like Alarms) will be allowed to use the speaker in this mode (you can also customize this apps list)

I'm trying to make the same decision. Ordered the SU6 and then saw the code for UMI Iron and ordered one. Both arrive tomorrow. Which box gets opened and which box goes back!?!

I get impression that Iron is nicer design, has extra 1GB ram and slightly faster CPU. While the SU6 is a safer option. Also Iron does not support all bands. I 'think' I'm okay as I'm on Three. Other difference is the off screen buttons on the SU6, which I prefer.

I think I'm leaning towards the iron with the security of it being fulfilled by Amazon.

What network are you on? Have you found any other significant differences?

Quite like mine despite the mess that is android, as long as you don't install apps and services to the SD card lag should be minimal. Shame there's no gyroscope for google cardboard as the screen size and res is well suited. Also while it might look far more premium from a distance, in the hand it feels cheap. That being said, you won't find a better phone running android for under £150, and spec wise puts some £200 handsets to shame. Makes the 3rd gen moto g look the overpriced underspecced phone it is. Camera is pretty decent, its no lumia 1020 but for those like me upgrading from a moto g its a massive improvement. Its also been rock stable, perfprmance excellent and the obly phone ive ever had that really can last a whole day of heavy use. Unlock really easily for about £3.50. Now, if Microsoft could release a phone with this spec and price, they might get a decent slice of market share.

I am on Virgin so 4G doesn't affect me really. I have a Mifi which has an EE 4G card in their 100GB free offer thingy so speed is not an issue. Have gone and plumped for the Iron from Amazon as peace of mind if it's not the right choice can return.

Like you get the impression the Iron would be better choice if it works as described, but its an IF that amazon returns makes me secure in gambling on!!!

Will be interested to hear your thoughts on them both

anyone who is non contract with just over a ton to spare . this is the phone if you want a big screen. unlocked for thee quid, had no issue's since I got it in August
got one on the £99 deal, why pay for a label? great screen , no lag,
Got this on the £99 deal. Brilliant phone, no lag at all, very similar to my old phone (Nexus 5). Only gripe I have with this phone is the camera which is poor.
In a bit of a dilemma, I have a 2nd Gen Moto x, which I can give to my mum or sell it for around £170 and buy her this walking away with £55 or Buy her a Moto G and walk away with £40

She uses her phone for photos, calling and texting.

Any thoughts?

Code has not expired -W7CHX5BW for 20% any UMI products from Amazon. Bargain. I have made my decision. I'm going to give the UMI a shot withe the security of Amazon.
Brilliant phone, can't recommended it enough. Girlfriend got one too and we've had no issues for the past three months of daily use.

People keep asking me if its the new iPhone however.. they don't believe me when I say it's a 'vodafone' phone!
Thanks OP, just ordered one for my daughter so that's her Christmas present sorted, I might treat myself to one as my Samsung S2 isn't going to last forever lol

People ask me the same thing! I say it's the 'Smart Ultra 6'... don't mention anything about it being a 'Vodafone' phone lol
Wish they'd release 5.1 for it, it's really buggy Specs are great for the price though.
Anyone managed to install Android 6 (Marshmallow) on their smart ultra?
Anyone had trouble with volume control on this? My dad constantly gets a System UI has stopped error when trying to alter the volume - both in software & by buttons.
