If you're on Plusnet and don't want to deal with Vodafone's awful service, get them to price match via online chat. I got 70down 20up (Fibre Extra Unlimited) for £23 a month.

Avoid like the plague, just managed to break the contract, worst bb I’ve had by a distance (and yes I’ve had BT/Sky as well)
Just for balance I've been with Sky and BT broadband and now Vodafone. Works just as good as the others for me. All 3 give gave me around 50mb consistently

Beware... I was 6 months into my 18 months contract renewal (long time Vodafone customer here) when they sprung a £2.50 monthly increase if I didn’t again renew for another 18 months... Didn’t feel right, so I switched to another provider
That’s odd. I know about the ‘inflation’ increases usually in April - they make that clear. No idea how the increase you experienced is justified.
Vodafone broadband never again, slowwwww ...be warned
Just left Vodafone, worst CS I have ever experienced. The BB supply was fine, it's when you have a problem. Constantly lied about sending a replacement router and did not have a clue technically and this was the Technical Dept.
Been with them for 2 years, no hassle at all. 76 down and roughly 30ish up. Put price up a few months ago, so I phoned and cancelled and they offered me £25 per month with Google nest hub max. Never had a problem with them touch wood.

They will only offer me a Google hub max no price reduction

They didn't really offer, I originally phoned and put my 30 days notice in, then I seen this deal last week. I phoned them, and said can I get this 25 quid deal with Google max. They transferred me, and I said the same again, and they sorted it there and then. Checked future bill in app, and it is 25 quid.

Download speed is very slow, they guarantee me 55 Mbit in reality I've got between 6 and 35 Mbit . I would never get Vodafone as BB. In my area there is even ultrafast BB but not for me even wors , can't wait to finish contact.

Why didn't you cancel it during your first 30 days free of charge ?

They wouldn't do it for me back in August so I left, their loss. Can't fault Vodafone but haven't had to deal with their CS.

I was out of contract so maybe that was a factor.

I couldn't imagine that such a big company can lies its clients. I thought they have some temporary issues then this period has expired. I'll try to cancel this stupid contract next week.
Promised me a minimum of 50MBps with them confident I’d get 72Mbps. Joined up and long story short I can only get 39Mbps and supposedly I’ll never get more due to my distance from the exchange. Signed me up with false advertising.
Nudz24/11/2019 12:40

What issues did you have?

On evenings the download rate dropped often to single digits. Many many people reported this but Vodafone would not accept there was an issue.
I switched from plusnet to Vodafone. Plusnet was arrogant to offer a hike of £33/mo when at the time Vodafone offered £21/mo + echo dot + £100 Amazon gift card. I'm with Vodafone since three months and nothing has gone wrong at all. I agree with comments that their website is bloated, slow and outdated, but I rarely have to go there anyway
Never had problems with Vodafone broadband. I am at the end of my 2nd 18 months contract. They promised 38mbs speed and I get 37-38, so fine.
The problem is they do not understand what loyalty means. This is the 2nd time when I am renewing my contract without securing any deals. For the plan I have, the price goes up by £1 (Not a big deal) but they will not give you any incentives to stay. Apart from the Google Hub, which is a bonus, but I would have preferred £100 discount instead of a £200 device.
The problem with Vodafone is their CS. They managed to get rid of their email address so you now raise issues with them over the phone or via chat. The guys on the chat are absolutely useless. The ones on the phone are telling lies and you can't prove anything as you have nothing in writing. The T&C states the Google Hub is for new customers or existing customers upgrading their plan. I have no intentions to upgrade, but they told me I am qualifying for the Google Hub. Will see if I get anything. Also, in their generosity, they will send a new router which I don't need. Really, Google Hub Max + new router will be easy £200-300, while their price increase will be £18 over 18 months...surely will be cheaper for them to give nothing and not put the price up..
Again, nothing against the quality of the broadband but if you need to sort out something with them, that will be a pain.

Yep, sent me a new router as well lol, still in the box, don't know if it's any better than the other one I have. Same as you, not sure if I'll actually get the Google hub, but we will wait and see. The broadband I cannot complain at all, it never blocks anything, unlike sky, virgin etc.
I've got a week to decide whether to recommit at £21 a or upgrade to the plan with the free gift and new router. Not sure. Quidco says this deal is for existing mobile customers. Does it apply to existing Home Broadband customers?

Vodafone told me twice, once over the phone and once via chat that the free gift is for everybody and I do not need to upgrade. This is despite the fact their t&C suggests new or upgrading customer.
What plan are you referring when suggesting £21. My plan is Vodafone 1 at £23 (mobile customers is 20 I think) and will go up to £24, mobile customers to £22. Vodafone is £26-28.

Yep, probably mine will end on the cupboard. I've got so many smart devices connected, I don't remember all the passwords, it will be really painful to start reconnecting everything again. Strangely enough, they didn't send me one yet, and now they are claiming they will send me this in their generosity as a gift for renewing the contract.

I'm currently on Superfast 1 paying £21. I think the upgrade might be staying on Superfast 1 or moving 2 with the gift and router at £24, but not sure.

I'm on Superfast 1, paying £23. The price on renewal is £24 now and they told me they can't leave it at the price I have it.
I spoke twice to them about the free gift. As I said, their T&C suggests new customer or upgrading. I was told I will still qualify if I renew my Superfast 1 and no need to upgrade.

I think the only way to upgrade is by telephoning. Not getting any luck via chat.

I think you need to double check what plan you sign for, as far as I am aware, Superfast 1 is £24, not Superfast 2.

Superfast 1 is £22 if you have mobile phone with them and £24 if you don't, and Superfast 2 is £26 with a mobile and £28 without a mobile.

I am on Superfast 1, paying £23 and I was told if I renew the contract, will be £24 for the same plan.
Edited by: "sheffield788" 25th Nov 2019
I can confirm as I've just done it - if you haven't renewed or cancelled in October when price increase was announced (in my case from £22 to £24.50) depending on when you started the contract you can just upgrade existing contract to new £24 18 month deal and get the Google Nest Hub Max.
The way I see it, I'll still be using broadband and would renew at somepoint anyway, happy with VF as a service provider and I'll be paying less than increase they proposed and still get free device which I may decide to sell.
I had 4 months remaining on my existing contract with Vodafone. To be fair to voda, their service has been great. Download speeds fluctuate from 40 - 70 Mbps, however upload (which is more important for my server) is a steady 20 Mbps, always.
i called the contact centre, has a chat with a polite and friendly person and managed to start a new contract and get the google hub. I also managed to get a credit added to my account as the renewal price is more than im currently paying. They couldnt lower the price of the contract but they did give me a credit to make up the difference I wall pay over the next 18 months

You are right. I had the chat reference where I've been offered Superfast 2 at £24 but they said they can't honour it. The best they can do is £26 Superfast 2 which I imagine comes with the router and the gift. Will be moving address probably and I can get Superfast 2 speeds there but not at current address. Not sure if it is worth upgrading at £26 or just stick with £21 for another 18 months or upgrade to £24. Is the gift actually worth the extra £3 a month to the bill?

The real price for the gift is around £200+. I am sure you can sell it for close to £100, so in theory should worth. This depends if you want to commit for another 18 months.
I have already 3 smart displays still sealed, so do not need a 4th one. The problem is my contract is due to end. So, I either look for a different provider, which I don't want, or I renew my contract. Since they mentioned renewing contract without upgrading to Superfast 2 will qualify for the gift, I am thinking I will do this as I need to sign again anyway.

Connection has gone down now. Making me think twice of even staying at all.
Just ordered the Gigafast 500 Mbps service.
Was £28 but as existing Vodafone mobile customer that dropped to £23 and £95 Top Cashback has tracked so over the 18 month term it works out at £17 a month.
Not too shabby, paying £32 a month to Plusnet for 70 Mbps at the moment.
I’m currently with Voda but contract ran out in Aug ( now rolling) to get Quidco £90 plus new deal and Google, can I upgrade online or do I need to cancel then purchase as a new customer??
No idea what's happened. Speed just fell off a cliff. Only getting 5 mbps download now. They've applied £10 credit and the app says 15% the bill due to not meeting minimum speed guarantee. I might switch to Plusnet as they are only ones cheaper.
