Vodafone Superfast 2 broadband £20 p/m for Vodafone pay monthly mobile customers (Plus possible £85 cashback) (18 months)

I just signed up to the £21 p/m Superfast 2 deal from Vodafone and upon selection it shows the price at £20 rather than £21 p/m, so its now ridiculously cheap if you're on a Vodaphone pay monthly.

Also, the price is only going to rise by £3 after the 18 months which is still really cheap!

Bad experiences with Vodafone broadband....worst than TalkTalk...
Drops out all the time and when it doesn't it buffers. I got 60meg + with sky before, now I can't stream or game without it dropping out at least 30-40 times a day. Useless customer services too. Cheap but for a reason. Avoid.

Still virgin is the best in my opinion but the most expensive as well.
Avoid.

Literally going through the process of getting rid. Poor internet speeds, dropouts by the hour, shoddy auto-message replies from CS, awful router (which runs hot) and they still haven't supplied their £100 Amazon Gift Card.

None of these issues with BT, only third-party providers like these and Now TV and the likes. Can't help but feel that these broadband suppliers cut corners to get their prices down.

You'll have your 14 day cooling period... If you ring they should just knock the £3 off.

I've just made do with 51gb for 21 days of home internet - tethered to my virgin 4g sim. So I would disagree this is redic cheap - many with decent mobile contracts don't even need it.
Thanks for the update though.

This is a broadband deal not a sim deal, you wont get the same unlimited data allowances or speeds.
Signed up for this myself. Said can get 55mb but only ever got max 30mb stable due to the line. So now I get BB for £20 and the 15% discount because they'll never hit my guaranteed 40mb/sec. Winner for me!
I don’t know if they ever resolved their throttling issues they had last year. I was with them and streaming of video at night was horrendous. Read the threads in the Voda forums. I bailed out having got fed up going round in circles with their ‘tech’ support - and I use that term very loosely. Buyer beware

Speed at peak period was 11mbps-and this is for fibre... Router is crap - no internet upstairs. Internet down few days a month-every month. So happy have left them.

Even better I"ll get £85 Topcashback as on monthly contract with them.

Haha. As if on queue. Dropped out as I wrote this.

Great service. Just swap out the router once you get the credentials from support and it’s excellent value

pay monthly, it showed as £20 after selecting it
£100 voucher via broadbandchoices.co.uk, plus if gone via topcashback first an extra £30 cashback
I’m having issues accessing box.com website when trying to log in. Chrome blocks it and says invalid cert as it is detecting interceptions from Vodafone content controls. I checked my voda profile and content control is off. A quick google reveals invalid cert issue seems common for vodafone and some other sites like imgur are inaccessible...weird!
Vodafone seem to change their price depending on what ‘free’ gift is available on sign up. Before the google promotion it was £2 a month cheaper, same as now the promotion has ended. It’s as if they’re charging punters for the gift. Naughty.

What's the vodafone together £3 discount you got?

That's the discount they give you if you're a Vodafone pay monthly customer
Got this and the discount and don't forget the 15% money off guarantee if you don't hit the minimum speed.

Might be worth pointing out that they are also giving away an Apple TV with a years subscription for the best option...
I can get 166 speed with BT but only 66 with Vodafone . Worth checking what speed you can get with BT before you sign with Vodafone .

You're also paying double for that speed.

Also worth checking upload speeds. Virgin gives high download but then lower upload (10mb compared to vodas 20mb)
Avoid.

Don't even offer full speed where I live. BT offers 166 Mbps and Vodafone only 66mbps .
Personally, I'd avoid Vodafone like the plague. I signed up for their broadband a year or so back. Was promised a minimum of 60mb. Was lucky to get more than two, and constant (every 10 mins or so) disconnects at peak times. Cancelled within the cooling off period and was charged the full contract amount for early termination. Then had to jump through hoops to get a refund.

There's a reason they are cheap...
I went with Vodafone before Christmas and ultimately cancelled right at the end of my 14 day period. I was getting 70mbps on the line but over WiFi I only ever got about 40. Rang a couple of times, neither times it was solved (they sent out an engineer the second time) so I felt like it was best to cut ties while I could without faff. Customer service were always nice and pretty quick to get through to. Also my wife would randomly get cut off from the WiFi every now and then which really annoyed her obviously. Didn’t have any issue with my iPad. I think it was the router’s fault so if you have your own then it might be worth it.

Went back to Virgin as a new customer and I’m very happy as usual with their service. There is my two cents, hope it helps someone .
£60 upfront should be added in top of the price of this "deal". Avoid!

They've got the worst customer service people I've EVER experienced in over twenty years of adulting, avoid like the plague if you value your sanity. Absolute of a company full of liars.

Vodafone are very much full of liars; they must be working on commission and promising non-existent deals as long as they renew your contract.

On the plus side, I would get between £150-£250 refund each year. The CS operator has a record of the previous live chat from 10 months ago (where I was misled), and then agrees I was misled but nothing he can do. They are most apologetic but cannot help further. I accept their apology but need my money back. Proceed to ask for the manager results in a £5 gesture of goodwill. Then you thank them for their £5 gesture of good will, and say I would rather have the £200 refund along with £20 gesture of goodwill, which they say is impossible to do. You then ask for the manager again, and then they process the £200 refund instead, only 2 minutes after it was an impossibility.

It's like a game each year; but at least they keep a record of their Live Chats as they simply lie and must be held accountable. They will tell you its impossible to correct the previous agent's error; before literally changing their minds within seconds once you say you will escalate to their boss (thereby continuing to mislead you about what was possible for them to do!)

I've yet to meet another company that has the out-right intentions of lying even if they are incompetent.

They tried charging me to leave my contract even though they miss sold me a guaranteed speed. I confirmed I would have no charge, got that in writing in a letter then they charged me a fee in a new bill which arrived after the final bill which already had a zero charge displayed for leaving. They were that thick that they couldn't even find the evidence of their own correspondence so they made me waste even more of my life, and sanity, by engaging in a video chat to show them the letter from one of their colleagues. I'm so glad to see the back of them, even with my EE hub needing reset about once a month
Wouldn't bother they're awful. Nothing would tempt me back. Speeds terrible and the customer service is beyond a joke.

Vodafone is just selling it, internet is providing BT, even when they set it up, it's BT engineers coming to do installation.
Got to say it’s the worst broadband provider I’ve had so far. Will be switching when my deal is up.
Used to be with Vodafone then left and had a 18 month contract with BT. Once that expired I went back to Vodafone and its been brilliant. No connection drops and a faster connection than BT for nearly half the price. 🔥
