Other Details

Usage Details Truly Unlimited

"Truly unlimited" broadband is perfect for heavy downloaders, student households or families sharing their connection because it does not apply either a fair usage policy or traffic management. This lets you download as much as you want, whenever you want, with your broadband speed acting as the only restricting factor. Some packages offer "unlimited broadband" without a fair usage policy but with traffic management to make sure that very heavy downloaders do not affect your connection at peak times.

Excess Usage & Traffic Management

Truly unlimited broadband does not apply either a fair usage policy or traffic management, allowing you to download as much as you want, whenever you want, with your broadband speed acting as the only restricting factor.

Vodafone broadband was great for the first 3 months then speeds started dropping drastically and the Wifi drops all the times
Just a heads up and I'm not saying it would be the same for everyone but for the last 3 weeks I have been getting as low (1mb/2mb as opposed to what I am supposedly to get 15.2mb) during peak times. My contract is up in November and can't wait to leave them. Support may as well not exist

Just hope the free routers not too crappy!

It's pretty basic, I'm just using mine as a modem and have a dedicated router for the more advanced bits.

I signed up a couple of years ago for the free Sonos one, will have to check if I'm out of contract now as I've been pretty happy with it. Not had to use CS but the line itself has been pretty stable.

Who is this deal through ? Because there was a link exactly like this via MSE recently but that deal has expired. Likely it is the same and therefore not active deal
Signed up today for the upto 35mb which is all we can get in this backwards town. Went through the mse website link and if you're a Vodafone monthly mobile customer you get another £3 off a month too.
Gonna ring them tomorrow, I think I'm already with Vodafone but would happily upgrade to the 2

Not sure if you get the voucher if you Quidco
I ordered few weeks ago for the same deal, and I called up and told them to make sure that I will get the latest router since I read some comments about their old router, and also I was told that I will be getting Amazon echo plus, and £100 cash back ...I also went through top cashback and got another £45 ....the installation is on the 5th os September and I will soon find out the speed .
Trying to sign up and all I get is a error message every time. Can’t get past estimate my speed.

Think you might struggle to get the £100 Vodafone cashback, looked at top cashback it only mentions the cashback from them and nothing about the £100 vodafone cashback.

I've done this, no router arrived . Phoned up today, order was cancelled. They said order again although there isn't top cashback available no more . Quidco is possible 75 quid but no sign of the Vodafone 100 quid gift card. Going to settle for just the 100 quid , echo dot direct link
Got this for £21 with £100 gift card and £40 TCB and not forgetting the amazon echo.

I think it all depends on what you already have.

I was concerned 6 months ago when I ordered, the reviews were dire. But gave it a go due to the offer at the time, and it's been great, admitted router hasn't the range of my previous BT one, but no drop offs or speed reductions.
I am with vodafone 18 months contract expired on 22nd Aug, now they have started charging me £25 instead of £20 per month.
I wonder if I take a new contract in my wife's name and a different email id and get the voucher/echo? Anyone in the same situation?
If the deals good it probably means they aren’t getting the customers they thought they would. As a mobile customer, everything is fine until you need customer service......
That to me suggests the reason for a good price like this.
Hot for the price, sadly still wouldn’t dare risk it

Yeah you maybe right. Can always try the URL change trick, might get lucky with it tracking

When I click on the link the deal only mentions the gift voucher not the dot?

They've recently updated the router to the Vox 3. The previous router was renowned for its bad WiFi. Not seen any reviews on the new one yet though.
Thinking of leaving virgin media as they just keep hiking their prices. Is this worth swapping over to?
I’ve had vodi for the past 3 months and no problemos, WiFi booster for which ever device I want, which is excellent, can’t complain faster than my previous sky broadband and cheaper
can you add unlimited calls through the landline to this?

+1 mine has been same. Vodafone's support and response has been non existent. Filed complaint and was told I'd hear back in 48 hours. Those hours have passed with no contact.

This deal is cheap but don't do it.

If it's the newer one (the square edge rectangle) as opposed to the rounded edge square it's supposedly better but I never really had many issues with the old one. A few times it reset itself/lost internet connection but other than that no problems.

Had a few issues setting up the new one since upgrading to the Superfast 2 package, but nothing a phone call didn't fix.

Speaking of which, if everything is working, i.e your devices are connecting to the router, and when you go to the router itself via 192.168.1.1 and it has internet, BUT you don't have internet access to your devices ring them.
A few others I read of, and myself had this issue and simply was that the serial number of the router they supplied didn't match what was showing on our account.

They have also implemented a ring back service on their customer service phone number. So when you ring and there's a wait, you can set it so they will call you back once it's your turn. Saves you waiting on the phone for hours.

We just upgraded fro SF1 to SF2, few months before ours is due to run out mind, was a straight forward upgrade, new router as well.

I'd ring them, don't see why they wouldn't, especially since you're now out of contract and could easliy say goodbye to them.
I was on the phone to them for 59 minutes earlier this evening before I gave up. Didn't get through to speak to someone in the broadband team. Saw online they were having big outages today in big cities like London, Manchester and Birmingham. Phoned back and spoke to someone in complaints. That person couldn't help with my issues and said to phone the broadband team between 8am and 9pm. By that point it was after 9pm

New vodafone router wasn't connecting to the internet even though a rather simple swap from the old yet working one. Put the old one back and only a tablet was connecting on wifi and the wired computers were saying no LAN IP address. Forward about another 30 minutes and all of a sudden the computers are getting online. Do I try the new router again....hmmmm. Must have been an issue in the area. Frustrating to say the least.

Short version: If you have issues with Vodafone broadband it is going to be a long wait to speak to someone. That said, my parent's Vodafone fibre broadband has been problem free for the 18 months prior to this. Bad timing I suppose with me trying to change over the router for them. Hope it works when I try again.
How do I go from Quidco/TCB to the gift card link?
