Was looking for exactly this - the old version Vodafone TopUp and Go Mobile Broadband where £15 gets 1GB of data with no time limit (use it once every 270 days to keep alive I think). I was in the Currys.Digital shop in Beverley (E Yorkshire) & saw the pack with 1GB written on the front (picture can be seen at http://www.ciao.co.uk/Voadfone_Mobile_Broadband__Review_5834457) - I was in two minds whether to price check it & luckily took the plunge -when he said £15 I couldn't believe my luck (I was looking at paying £15 for a modem & £8 for this specific type of sim on eBay). Its for my uncle & he specifically wanted the no expiry type.

The receipt says "Vodafone K3565 1GB Prepay" & 0000003745.

Good luck if this appeals to you - probably a case of worth checking your local DSG store if passing rather than travelling to one on the off chance.

Cold votes with no comment - great!!! Care to show me where you can get a dongle for £15, then show me where you can get one with anything from 1 month to 1 year worth of data too for £15?

Great deal, i paid (on ebay) £20 for the dongle and £7 for the non-expiring sim, have seen them go thru ebay at £50 for the pair !!

I paid full price for this when it came out so I could have an emergency backup without the data expiring the original data is still going so if you're only an occasional user & don't want to have to top up regularly this is a great deal.

Can anyone clarify if the credit runs out after 30days. i am a little confused about this. the review on currys site is as follows
"TopUp and Go gives you a flexible way to enjoy mobile broadband. Your USB Modem even comes with 3GB of data - giving you up to 90 hours of browsing, 2000 emails and hundreds of downloads. And when your credit runs out (or your 30 days are up), simply top up to enjoy more of the same - fast, reliable mobile broadband that covers 80% of the UK population."
Also i could not find the 1GB stick on Currys site at the price posted.

This is just the kind of thing I am after. May pop out and lunchtim and see if I can grab a bargain! If anyone in the Edinburgh area spots this deal, perhaps they would be good enough to share. Fingers crossed!

That is the double win here - it is reduced as old stock, but old stock means that it is 1GB (not 3GB) included & for each £15 top up, BUT the 1GB variety does not expire - hence I think it is a HOT deal.

Note that a bit like fair use policies meaning that unlimited rarely means that, no expiry actually means one use every 270 days to stop it dying.

I would love this to get hot - not because it makes me better off, but because I think it could save a few people some money!

Exacty - I would have paid something close to that had I not seen this.

Do all the current ones expire in 30 days?

Glad I still have my old vodafone one then...

Yes - the new ones do (you get a larger 3GB allowance, but, for my money anyhow, that does not sell it - being the only Pay & Go with no expiry does for certain users - I now have my dad & uncle on the old tariff). There are a few of these about, but I expected to pay £20 - £30 if I found one.

Found a K3565 in a local tesco one only £35 reduced to £25
On the back it said you have to top up monthly so not sure if this is the new model as I read somewhere that the new ones are K3565R
How can you tell?
If it's £15 a month thats not really PAYG

Anyone still looking for these near Glasgow should try the following stores:

Currys
Stirling - shows 2 in stock
Bishopbriggs - shows 3 in stock
Robroyston - shows 1 in stock
Falkirk - shows 1 in stock
Kilmarnock - shows 1 in stock

Note - Anniesland & the PCW at Braehead will show stock but they don't physically have the items. Best to contact the store to put their hands on the item before heading over.

If it says that on the back of the box it's one of the new ones with 3gb bundle for £15,you need the one with the round sticker on the top left of the box saying £15 (as in the picture) plus along the bottom of the box it says 1gb

I've a couple of these - great if you can get them - seems to be no other service out there that allows proper USB dongle and no monthly topup

I've one of these usb vodafone dongles and it works very well. Paid £40 for mine with 2Gb of prepaid(vodafone special offer at the time).
