If the unlimitted and uncapped plan, at £30 a month, allows unlimitted tethering AND includes 5g, then this will be a pretty great deal.

Ehhh, yeah this is a pretty bad deal.

You can get unlimitted Three (or Smarty, using Three's infrastructure) for £18.50. If you live in an area with good Three reception, like me and many others, you can easily get over 60mbps, even over 100mbps.

It's good to see Vodafone preparing for their 5g deployment though, my property lies apparently just out of range of their planned 5g reception so it might be worth a punt.

Site description states "All of our Unlimited plans are 5G ready", they also stated that you'll be able to use the 5G abroad for no extra cost in Germany, Italy and Spain.

Can we tether unlimited as well with this?

Probably since there offering 5G home internet for £50 a month (with the 5g hub/router)
Tempted to jump ship from three once this becomes available as the signal where I live is pants! Plus Vodafone now have 5G in my area which I'm keen to try once I have a 5G compatible device

£50/month is more expensive than their sim only £30 unlimited deal.

But yeah, would still need to find somewhere a 5G router to buy to use the sim only. :/

Ye, The only 5g Router is huawei's and that's supposed to be £300+ and not publicly avaiable to buy right now
You can buy the huawei router from vodafone, for £350 + £30 on a 1 month rolling contract.

Since they are offering home broadband, I am going to assume that this 5g unlimitted plan does NOT include tethering,.

Vodafone have now launched 5g in my city too (Glasgow) but the network coverage tool shows really spotty, bad coverage. I am about 1 mile from city centre and have 0 coverage for 5g

It has to include tethering. OfCom has ruled that all data must be able to be used however you want it (in the UK). Remember Three had a 30GB limit and now it doesn't? It's for the same reason.
Vegito03/07/2019 16:37

More what?

It includes Amazon Prime Video, Now TV, Spotify or Sky Sports for a start.

It also includes 100 minutes from the UK to the EU.

According to mine and others experiences, Vodafone has faster data when roaming.

Vodafone has better 4G coverage and 'time on 4G' than Three does, along with higher speeds for many (at least for now!).

This plan will also allow access to 5G, which Three doesn't have yet (and I don't think anybody knows for certain that Three will offer unlimited 5G at the same price point as their current unlimited plan?).

I also believe that Vodafone has more inclusive roaming destinations than Three.

So there's a few things I came up with in 3 minutes...

It looks like this will include unlimited data while roaming in the EU and selected countries as opposed to Three's limited 19GB of your data allowance while roaming.

[Edit: I found more information: "Roaming data on all Unlimited data plans is capped at 25GB per month"]

It does seem possible that will happen but I haven’t seen any solid evidence either way.

I believe Three has announced that they will first introduce 5G home broadband before 5G sims for phones. So it's likely that would be unlimited as at home you will surely use more than 50GB depending on the household size and needs.

37986000.jpgAbsolutely you would, It's only the 3rd of the month and i'm already on 80GB, usually finish the month way over 1TB.

This is just with streaming 4K content on Netflix and updating Xbox games which are usually in the multi GB per game.

It's quite the bargain for £20 (Three) as my speeds are 80/20.

Good to see more mobile unlimited competition though, EE's prices make your eyes water.

Just O2 left to spill the beans now, wonder what they'll have to offer.

Perhaps not as much 'solid evidence' as we would like but the terms and conditions do state:
"Roaming: Unlimited/Unlimited Lite: 48 destinations at no extra cost, 104 destinations for £6 per day. Unlimited Max: 77 destinations at no extra cost".
