Do you get anytime calls as well
Has anyone used this router before? I have the older basic Vodafone model which constantly drops wifi connection.
Wonder if it's worth upgrading or leaving for BT instead.
If it helps I had Superfast 1 on 17 September.....wired ethernet (on a Homeplug Solwise system) is very fast indeed bearing in mind I am no gamer but stream an awful lot of stuff. Wifi up to 4 rooms away is not brilliant but by no means terrible - on my Roku box it may drop out briefly (once every 3rd day say) but always recovers in a few seconds; can't comment on mobile wifi as I don't use it. Anytime landline and mobile calls is an extra £5 per month. As for the service well personally as an ex engineer I could not be happier and my preference is online chat.

Yes, The new Vox 3.0 Vodafone router is decent and has been reliable for me.

I have the superfast 1 which is decent. My issue has just been the constant wifi drop outs. Literally can happen 5 times a day.

I've had the new Vox router for about a month and it's been rock solid so far.
I do not know why this deal is cold. These are Vodafone prices, which are better than the competitors. While there were other better deals for this, such as TCB or the free hub, I can't understand why is cold to get higher speed for their 'basic' price. After 3 years with them, I've signed 2 weeks ago a new contract, VS1 for £24, this was their cheapest price, increased from £23. I can understand people in my situation getting frustrated to pay more and get lower speed, but these people got a free hub as well. As far as I am aware, Vodafone price gone up to £24 instead of £23, unless you have a mobile contract with them, so I think this deal will cost £24.
With regards to the quality of the services, miles better than my previous provider, TT. I pay for 38mbs and this is what I get wired and over 37mbs wireless. Got the new router, still in the box, as I have no issues with the current one.
Voted hot! I may ring them to ask if they can 'upgrade' me to VS2 as the price is the same, I'm just concerned my free hub claim not to be taken in consideration, as the deadline to sign the contract was 2nd Dec.

Sorry OP I voted hot but hope it doesnt as mine runs great at 50mb same as my previous Sky and BT and dont want it getting over subscribed ( only joking)
My contract with BT runs out in the 1st week of Jan. Am considering this seriously even though BT have quoted me £24 for 50mbps. Voted hot.

Or you could pickup a bt hub from ebay and use that on your Vodafone broadband, just assign it an IP and its good to use, turn off the WiFi in the settings for your Vodafone router. Or you could always buy a different or better router online and use that.
Live chat won't move you over, after the security dance they just point you to the sales number. Don't fancy 45 min chat, up selling Apple TV or forking out more. Shame, Ta Ta.
Don't bother it's absolute tosh!

Worth negotiating with BT
I quoted the virgin deal effective price £17.74 a month to them and they agreed to renew my super fast 2 for free. Just pay advanced line rental no other charges
Don't get Vodafone broadband. It's awful!
I've VF Fibre 38 no problem with it, using for last couple of years.

Also for VF customer Super Fast 2 is £21 per month.
10 days into VS2. I always experience broadband reset. It is getting lesser now. Speed is ok. Hope it gets better.

How much is the advanced line rental. Or if you don't mind my asking, how much are you paying for Superfast 2 per month.

Thanks, will have that conversation with BT tomorrow. Am reading Vodafone CS - is not good, if I can get close to £220 I may as well stick with BT.

They didn’t offer that immediately. First they just offered to renew at £7 a month, then went down to £4 a month. They only went to £0 when I kept saying virgin is cheaper. Stick to your guns

Also I had to sign a new 24 month contract

Thanks, all down to who blinks first. I will have to be determined to hold on till I get to the target amount.
I signed up to the Vodafone deal with apple TV last week. They then phoned me to say that the order kept failing with open reach and that they had to make a new order without apple TV if I wanted to keep my existing number. They said it would only be guaranteed if I did not take apple TV. Tried to get them to explain why apple TV would make any difference. The customer adviser just kept going round in circles. Eventually spoke to a manager who also could not give me an honest answer. Eventually told him to cancel the order, due to them being dishonest about their offer.

Thanks for your advice. Paid BT £220 upfront for the year for the landline rental on PAYG plus £1.49 pm for Superfast 2 BB and negotiated the delivery of a new router for free. Initially was asked to pay £55 for it. Yes, 24 month contract and can pay the line rental upfront next year too. CPI rate of inflation applicable on £1.50 only which is negligible.

Nice one
Iv had for 18 months, no issues and reliable speed. The only comparison for speed and price when on offer is virgin. I was looking forward to the new router, to be honest hasn’t made a difference. I had SF1 and consistently got 36mb/s. Just gone for SF2.
Signed up for SF2 which went live on wedsneday. Was getting 70mbps upwards with sky currently getting 50 with voda but sync speed of 79. I may have to get on to them as I signed up at £25 a month
Ordered thanks

NHS staff get £2 off too... not much but still why not

I went for the one with Apple TV+ because I thought it would be cool to try it and it's cheaper that what I'm paying now for the same thing without Apple TV+.

How do you get NHS discount?

How do you get NHS discount?

Apologies, this turned out to be a £2 discount for having a Vodafone mobile contract with them. The NHS discount only applies to the Mobile Contracts apparently.
Signed up with them from July time, I was previously with Plus net - and vodafone were one of the few that offer static IP address. Had a few minor blips with it dropping in first few days - but now its been rock solid. I work from home, so would notice any outages. Speed spot on, I think it depends alot on your local exchange
