Vodaphone 76Mb Fibre Broadband £24pm / 18mths no set up fees (+£60 for a new line)

41
Found 19th Jan
18month contract, £60 for a new line, else there are no setup fees.

When I found this option on their website it was £27, by using comparison site links found on google or by being a Vodaphone customer you get £3 off.

When you enter your postcode you get a speed estimate, it told me I had an estimate of 53-76Mb

76Megabits is 9.5MegaBYTES, an 800mb movie file will download in 1 minute 10 seconds at this speed.

This was the same price I was paying for 17mb with sky

£21 cashback on topcashback

So? I pay £31 for 200mb full house. My deal was through retentions as well. New customers can't get retention tier deals with new providers.
Really don't get the purpose of your post.

OP, as mentioned already posted and one of the hottest deals of the last month...

Of course might help that the company is actually Vodafone not Vodaphone. Got any Assda deals you can share?

Can you post a link to that deal, or was this a one-off retention deal ?

I got my deal from detentions after playing the "cancellations game" because I felt I wasn't get a good as new customers were, but I'm pretty sure this is a deal that I've seen at there stores or on there website for new customers.

I had a look, cheapest I could see was £48 a month for that package, rising further after 12 months.

If you have a virgin media store close to you, then you would probably get a better deal in store.
Worst customer service EVER. Avoid.
I'm stuck with virgin media 100Mbps On a new build estate, all other providers can only provide 3.23Mbps 👎🏻

If you had bothered to read my comments properly, you would of seen that I'm not moaning about the service from virgin media, I was replying to a lady who asked me about how I got my deal with virgin media, the Vodafone deal is a con like I said, as for your deal...who cares.... maybe you should try looking at your own posts before making judgement on others!!!!!

Doubt it. I just left virgin as they wouldn't budge on my monthly price after 12 months. Tried to increase bill by 50% #robbingbastards
Same thing happened to me, but do what I did, I went to carphone warehouse, signed up to talk talk through them for £34 per month, I then called virgin media and cancelled my contract with them, and then whilst I was waiting to be connected with talk talk, the virgin media retentions team called me up begging me to stay, and I managed to get my bill down from £53 to just £30 per month, I know it's a pain but you just have to play a game with them sometimes.

Ok, but new customers do get better deals when they first join virgin media ever online or in one of there store's, that's how they reel them in. And the purpose of my post was to show that for just £3 more than Vodafones deal for broadband only, you can get tv and weekend calls + a better broadband speed.
Plusnet will match this BTW if anyone is with them
I have this as couldn't believe how cheap it was. It includes line rental too don't foget. I was with Virgin who charged £19pm just for line rental and couldn't match this. Get a solid 76mbps and customer service, UK based not India, have been very good too.

This deal isn't a con if, like a lot of people, you cannot get virgin broadband. Struggle to get a better deal from another provider at that price.
One issue that’s stopping me making this switch is that I’ve read that vodaphone won’t let you use your own router (I’ve actually read that sales will tell you you can, but once signed up you cant). That’s a deal breaker for me (still gonna tell virgin I’m leaving though to get them to put the price down)

What's their pings like for gaming? Any drops in speed at peak times?

Also is it easy to forward ports and use a dmz with their router?

Tracking issues is correct (not tracked after 3 days) will be putting in a untracked claim after 7 days has passed
TCB will sort it and should be ok

I switched to VF from SSE deal about 3 months ago. It has been nothign short of disastrous.

Have had fibre for more than 5 years into my house, always speeds have been around 32mbps down, with VF I have been getting between 7 and 1. At peak times speed is an utterly unusable 1.5mbps. VF have acknowldged their network does not have the capacity and I am in the process of being released from my contract. It is cheap for a reason beware!

Should have done your research before hand. They offer you a guaranteed minimum speed.

Eh? They did offer me a guaranteed minimum speed, which is what I am using as leverage to break the contract, on the basis that it isn't being delivered as guaranteed.

How on earth are you supposed to "research" what the ACTUAL speed an individual ISP will give you is vs the minimum speed they promise? Surely you don't know the ACTUAL speed until it is installed in your house? it sounds like you have signlehandedly fixed the broken UK broadband marketplace. Congrats!

Not really sure what your point is.

My only purpose here is to point out that myself, and many other, Vodafone customers have been let down by VF not delivering anything like the promised minimum speeds due to the paucity of their back end equipment, something they will freely admit to you after a few weeks of pointless tests on your own equipment. As I said - avoid.

Good job sport. I admire your approach to life.
My service went live on 10th but I'm seriously considering baling out. It seems that the promised static IP address is only available to business accounts, contrary to what the sign-up process says. I've had around 10 calls to them trying to get to the bottom of it & every time you call you get a different answer. Yesterday I was promised a call back from someone technical & needless to say, it never materialised.

Added to the lies & misinformation I was fed when trying to get logon credentials for my own router, I have grave reservations over what would happen should a fault occur. I'm also a little disappointed with speeds as they've dropped from 38mbps on day one to 32mbps now.

If I jump back to BT I should end up paying around the same £20pm once all the cashback & rewards are taken into account. Current offer is £29.99 pm for 18 months, £85 Top Cashback & £80 reward card. But then BT are are a useless bunch of unmentionables also...
Cancelled two days ago & not a word from Vodafone.
