OMG - I thought Sky Broadband was bad for dropouts but Vodafone is ridiculous. Sorry, but I'm out.

What do you mean dropouts, just so I know if what happens to my computer/PS4 is same thing?
I already put another WiFi bridge in, and turned Vodafone router WiFi off, but was thinking last night to make the bridge handle all DHCP requests to see if that helped, and turn the voda router DHCP server off.
Pay that for the 76mb Vodafone fibre optics

Mines been fairly good since leaving BT at the end of October ... However , for the last 8 days my internet has been constantly dropping out (both wired and wifi connections) meaning watching catch up TV is not possible , completely useless sorting out the fault ... 76 hours to wait while you are in a queue for the technical team to contact you and when they do all they do is arrange a BT Openreach engineer to visit your home.
I had the engineer turn up and he tested the copper line ... no faults found , did a 5 minute connection test which sods law didn't drop out in the 5 minutes he tested it !
Also , the engineer said that Vodafone will probably now send an openreach 'Broadband' Engineer to the home who would be able to investigate further the network side of things .. ffs , my fault was with my broadband , Grrrrrrr ... Now , 8 days on and still I don't have a stable connection.

Average call time to get through to customer services is around 30-40 minutes too !

I'd Avoid Vodafone at all costs ! ...... BT were fine for 12months previously , as were Virgin for several years before that.

Hm... I have 2 mobile contracts with VF and also have some business dealings with them. From a phone perspective I've actually found them to be fairly efficient (been with them for 7 years now). Maybe they're still learning the ropes with respect to BB - noted.

In other news, I've just left Virgin following a house move and I personally found their support to be shambolic, although the product was good when it worked.

Thanks for the account though, good to align expectations.

£20 a month cheaper than BT.
