A CHEAP START TO EXPERIMENT WITH VOIP OR TO USE IN INTERNET CAFES.

I guess its not really a headset - as it only fits behind and in one ear with a short stub of a microphone running out the front.

The entire thing could fit in the palm of your hand, and is probably the perfect thing to use for VOIP at an internet cafe if you were traveling, or wanted to have a shot at VOIP without spending much.

It has two 3.5mm pin connectors to go into the sound card - and is NOT the USB type. Also, its two pins, so wont work with a mobile, and even then most mobiles are 2.5mm connectors for sound.

The image here looks similar, but with a shorter stubbier boom on the poundland version.

You cannot go wrong at this price!

That's what they now use more and more on tv instead of the tie mics. Bargain.

I pugged it in and gave it a shot.

The sound is pretty good for voice, but a bit tinny when I tried playing music through it.

The microphone is quite far from my mouth - near enough the middle of my cheek, but again seems to work well. However there was no background noise here, and I would guess it might pick up everthing, so for net cafes a quiet corner would be a better bet than sitting by the door.

In saying that its closer to your mouth than one would be on a netbook if you were trying to use that for VOIP, and is so small its likely to fit in oven a fairly tight fitting netbook case.
