Its OK, but 9 months up front and £200 a month for 8000 miles in a fairly standard Golf? Doesn't feel a conspicuous deal to me.

VW service is from £164. They shouldn’t be putting a limit on the free service.

seems quite a lot of money for the 1.6 version and only 8k miles. If it was 2.0 and/or 10k at this price then than would be good/scorching. Not voted ...yet

get it done from elsewhere, I'm sure that's what a lot of people on lease do (I intend to)?

Cold,

Golf GTE is £6500 on broadspeed. Automatic, better acceleration, better fuel efficiency.

Yes I need maybe a Range Rover on notability like 3 years ago ..this not so good

There is always an option to buy. Trust me. Usually for £500 - £1000 under WBAC valuation. Saves them hassle at termination...

Unfortunately you will then get charged for not taking it to a main dealer for its service. It will state main dealer for the services.

My 2013 golf in brill condition only cost me £7k to buy off autotrader.. n this deal is pretty much the same money but just for 24m lease. I know they arent comparable, one’s new and diff specs, the other’s second hand and 4 years old.. but i wouldnt touch this deal with a barge pole??

Not sure if that is the case. Just has to be to manufacturer spec. Will have to read up on my contract.

VW and diesel... There's a joke there somewhere.

If the finance is from VWFS then this will be the case. It’s all about the resale value, having full dealer history when they get the car back helps get best price when it goes to auction.

Ah ok, mine isn't from VWFS. Actually, my car isn't even't a VW
It's from Hitachi Capital

Why would you take your car to a random garage that has no training or engineers with qualifications from the actual manufacturer?

This is about £2k more expensive than the deal I went for (admittedly 18months ago) but for reference mine was £1k deposit and £150 a month. Mileage increase (to a total of 21k over 2 years) has added and extra £260 spread over 10 months but gives you an idea of can be achieved (if you have a spare time machine handy).

There are also Audi A6/A4 deals flying around for this price at the minute.
