Any good?
Anyone got this? Any idea if it's any good??
I have this and would recommend. Though I bought it even cheaper for £79.

"extracts up to 20L/Day at 30° and 80% humidity". Great if you live in SE Asia...

Think its compressor.

Dessicant are much better but more expensive I guess. Compressor stop working in cold temperatures as defrost mechanism kicks in again and again. I only buy dessicant now .

Generally if it is about 10kg it's a compressor. Weight not specified in this case however. Reviewers mention "noise" and 'inability to sleep' which is a clear sign it's a compressor type.

Yes you are right. But for £79 wouldn't complain. And does a great job in sucking moisture. Happy with mine
Just mentioning and not knocking the deal....spent 4 days researching dehumidifier and was torn between meaco 20 or 25 litre compressor....and meaco Zambezi dd8l. The later is a desicant....first 2 compressors. Compressors are cheaper but work best at warmer temps. And are heavier. Opted for the Zambezi which is about the best desicant on the market. It's louder than my old meaco and slightly bulkier. But economical and does what it says on the tin....quality item.
May be a stupid question do you need these in each room? Or would one cover multiple rooms?

I'll be returning mine as its gone lower than the set humidity and still runs on? I would have assumed it should have stopped..

I have the same issue, however not sure if it’s just the fan that stays running and not the compressor when the humidity is lower than the set level.

But surely both should stop running? I've organised a return and will look for something else.

I've had a Zambezi DD8L, broke down within the warranty period and got repaired, then broke down after warranty expired. After doing some research, there are thermal fuses deep inside the unit which have a habit of failing and is quite common with this unit (not sure about other makes/models)
