I'm self employed with clients around the world and will often get calls in the middle of the night about a problem that needs to be sorted right away and this allows me to sort it without my laptop overheating due to blocked outlets, getting a crick in my neck trying to balance it on my knees or having to get out of bed to go to my desk. It’s also very good for just consuming media or surfing the net before going to sleep

Well if its good for an international trouble shooter on call day and night then it must be good for little ol' me!

Great find! Thanks for sharing.
I like it, but not sure how practical? Depending on the height of your notebook that block at the front would get in the way of your palms if typing on a notebook. Could get quite uncomfortable?
Would imagen this making a Good drawing easel

Wouldn't you just turn it round so it is at the back and doesn't slide off?
tempted.....
when you lift the lid where the laptop goes, is that also a storage space to store papers?

Based on the photo I would assume no. What a great idea though. If your crafty with your hands you could screw in a ply wood base for this purpose. I would ensure you do strips rather than a whole panel as this would render the vent holes useless.

Elegant (graceful and stylish in appearance or manner).
Thanks, ordered
Looks like it was made for hipsters.

I've got one and no it's just empty space. I've been very chuffed with mine, I use it to do leather work on, I use a hammer to do it so it's taken a fair old beating over the few months and it's still as new so should last forever when it's used sensibly
any good for 17inch laptop?
Looks interesting but a bit of a weird design with the holes. Also no details at all what size laptops it would take. No idea for example if there would be room for a mouse to the right or even an additional keyboard if you have a 17 inch desktop replacement.

Dimensions: 50 cm x 30 cm x 25 cm (WxDxH)
My 17" laptop: 42.3 x 30.4 x 3.3 cm

So 77mm mouse space, protruding depth and the width of the tiltable section is 34cm.

I'd be surprised if this is big enough for a 15"laptop.
Question for anyone who owns one of these, would it be tall enough to allow you to turn on a standard desk into a standing desk?

Thanks in advance.

no
Was considering it but the holes and the thick lip at the bottom kind of ruins the look it.

£15.99 at Amazon, but you can see more details and gauge the size of it better amazon.co.uk/Von…Y6/
People complaining about the holes and the lip at the bottom, you realize these both have practical uses? Holes to stop laptop overheating and the lip to stop the laptop sliding off when you adjust the tilt.

Definitely great if you like the old-meets-new thing, and it scores pretty high on build quality.
Great at this price if it meets your needs - and for some, it will. Therefore hot.

But I'd recommend first making sure you're not one of the people who would discover this thing to be a cumbersome, impractical chore. Check Amazon as paddy.stone suggested, for in depth reviews/specs, and better pics.

-You will need to be surrounded by a solid or firm, flat surface, or the extendable legs won't do a great job of keeping the tray clear of your thighs. This thing isn't particularly light and the underside isn't flat, so prepare for it digging in.
-If you like how it looks atop a coffee table, desk or shelf, don't knock it or it's coming crashing down the moment one leg skids off the surface, and they're slippy.
-If you want to pack it away every time, prepare to have to twisty twisty twisty all 4 leg adjusters.
-If your mouse isn't micro and your pens are longer than 4", they're not going in that drawer.
-If your laptop isn't tiny, the tiltable function will likely go unused.

Just got mine (btw, it currently seems to be instock and has gone UP TO £15)

The main downside is that, even with the legs fully extended, the distance from the floor to the base is only 190mm. It is likely that the distance from your back to your belly os more than this, so it you use it in a recumbant posture, it will be resting on you and not on the feet. However, someone with a drill (and a brain) could easily make it 60mm taller (by moving the location of the 'extender' nuts) and (less easily) make it another 40mm taller (by moving the hinges for the legs out, so that the legs rest closer to the vertical).

The mentioned wooden bar (that stops the laptop sliding off the angled surface) is 20mm tall, so probably won't obstruct your access to the keyboard.

Note that you can easily move the 'anchor' that props the tilty-bit up if you want it to go more vertical. With a saw, you could cut an extra slot and make it go even more upright....
