The 800ml and 500ml bottles are good. Been making a lot of smoothies lately so I'm tempted. 1000w too.

I read fruit smoothies aren't as good for you as just eating the fruit, because your body doesn't have to work to break it all up, and also that whizzing it all up turns the sugars into refined sugars or something?

Fruit is full of sugar anyway which is not good for you anyway. Few berries a day would be fine but no way would I have a massive smoothie which all its gonna do is cause insulin spike.

BUT each to their own I suppose. I would rather have my eyesight, both legs etc instead of diabetes and other diseases.

Yes but natural sugars.:)

Hopefully your pancreas know that!
We have the Aldi blender which is same size cups as the Nutribullet. Wonder if this one is compatible with Nutrilbullet cups?
Is it able to do frozen fruit veg?

I heard that. For me it's an improvement as, in a hurry, I'd otherwise grab a coffee or nothing, certainly not a banana, some oats, some nuts, some blueberries, some milk, some honey....
How does this compare to the 900w Nutri Bullet blender?Anyone have any experience with both?
amazoncrazy2 h, 32 m ago

Yes but natural sugars.:)

Doesn't make any difference. Sugar is sugar. As mentioned above, though, the difference between fruits and juices/processed sugars is that the latter are absorbed almost instantly while the former is only released over time and thus causes less of a sugar shock.
Keep in mind that a 4.4 rating of amazon resembles more of an actual 2 star rating elsewhere.

Not as loud as the ninja, but also not as good, I own the Ninja IQ and I swear I could blend a brick in that thing, obviously the more power then the more noise it will make, it all comes down to how you use the blenders, if you want a blender that you can blend nearly anything with, fruit, raw veg, nuts, frozen foods (all without having to cut them into small pieces before blending), can be used multiple times a day and still will last years, and is a company with fantastic customer service if anything does go wrong, aslong as you dont mind the noise then stick with a Ninja, if you wont use it too frequently and are mainly just blending soft fruits then this blender is fine, but dont expect Ninja performance.
Thank you I am working away home where i have ninja and i am looking for a good quiet blender (dont want to wake everybodu at 4.30 in the morning) i blemd frozen berries oats milk and some proteins and lin seed

Who's advocating having a massive smoothie? One serving is great for a sugar/calories/energy boost before playing sport or going to the gym.

If it is to travel with and you also want to keep the noise down I would try the breville blend active, it wont blend anywhere near aswell as your Ninja but it is pretty much the quietest you will get, is more portable and will blend what you have mentioned, this blender tries to be somewhere in the middle of the ninja and blend active, but I wouldnt recommend it over either, both the mentioned blenders are best for there intended use

I got aeg (ectrolux) which looks nearly the same as breville got it from warehouse deals for same price as blend active. It is ok but i keep looking for something stronger and quiet...
