Found 5th May 2016
Bike itself reduced from £600 to £530.
Buy through topcashback which is running great deal at the moment which is 4.2% cashback + 10% off any bike(excluding boardman). On top of it use british cycling membership to bring it down by another 10%. Then buy halfords vouchers with another 10% off.

£530-10% code B17BK02 -10% british cycling membership - 10% halfords vouchers - cashback(mine tracked as £20.02) = £366.35

Forgot to add, this is a price to pay if you already have british cycling membership, otherwise add about £18-19 for official FAN membership.

How do the halfords vouchers work?

There is a halfords website for corporate customers geared up to buying gift vouchers for employees. However individuals can use it too. Some companies have a discount code to get 10% off, presumably as a reward for buying lots of halfords vouchers. Some of these codes have found their way on to the web and can be knocked by you and I. The gift vouchers come through the post to your home.
this deal should be molten hot; one of the best bikes you can get at full price, let alone reduced...
I was looking at this bike last week and thought it was a bit steep at £599, just with the TCB and discount it seems like a good deal to me, if you have/ can access the others, this is a great deal IMHO
How is this cold? It should be smoking

Even at £599 it's a great price for the fork/spec and 29" wheels, One of the highest regarded sub £600 bikes amongst the Biking community with rave reviews and no wonder.

I had my eye on this bike since it was announced but I thought the colour was a little iffy, After viewing in store I quickly changed my mind and it was a no brainer, I just had a feeling to hold off for a random Halfords sale and I was right, Just bought one for £424 thanks to discount code and BC membership.

Thanks to OP for posting this otherwise I'd of missed this again.
Crazy that this is not hot. Relative to a lot of the cycling deals recently this is much better. Yet those deals are hot and this is not.

Just bought 1 for £400 bargain an what a nice bike an good spec

Voted winner in the sub-£750 category....again.

People who have voted cold should be ashamed of themselves. It's worth expiring this deal and reposting to get it to people's attention.
And more from BikeRadar:

BikeRadar verdict

"Confidence boosting and entertainingly responsive trail tamer that’s great value too"
Highs: Balanced 29er frame, smooth-rolling and stable wheels, controlled 15mm axled, air sprung fork for lightweight control, shimano deore based 2x10 transmission
Lows: Limited range of small, medium and large sizes
Buy if: You want a keenly priced entry-level hardtail that not only trounces its immediate competition but will also give more expensive bikes a run for their money
There was only ever going to be one bike to beat in the sub-£600 category of our recent mega-test of budget bikes, and surprise surprise, nobody could match the VooDoo Bizango, which so impressed our testers two years ago.

As much as we don’t want to kick the competition when they’re down, it’s fair to say the other bikes didn’t just fail to match it – they weren’t even close. Our end of test photoshoot saw the VooDoo embarrassing other bikes not just in the £800 category but the £1000 category too. So what is the magical recipe that this witch doctor uses to charm the rider and hex its rivals?

Amazing isn't it I love mine I got the last 16" in my whole area in cheshire... Like MBR/Bikeradar reviews state it trounces any other bike in it's price range and that's when it's £599.

People don't know a good deal if it smacked them one on here.

I'm still puzzled why this deal is cold... It's a stunning bike for the money.

I'm assuming the cold votes are because it's an odd price for a bike (£366.35 probably confuses people) and it doesn't say in the title what it used to cost. HUKDers can be very fickle, especially when it involves lots of code stacking and maths. Unless a bike is "WAS £899, NOW £399!!!" they tend to have difficulty figuring out if it's a hot deal or not.

Thank you Einstein for pointing that out.
so why are you so worried about the colour of your bike?
Good price, I recommended this previously to a couple of mates getting started in MTB, after the positive experience of my sons Hoodoo. Having ridden it now I am not so sure, its certainly not as good as the Hoodoo in my opinion. But for £400 a start in MTB its hard to say no. Those that think this is the best hardtail under 1K are kidding themselves though.

I've had a rockhopper comp a carrera fury an avalanche 1.0 and now a bizango.

Personally I think the bizango is by far the best out of them all, it's a £600 bike if anyone says it's the best sub £1000 bike then they need to give there head a wobble but I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere a few reviewers say it gives bikes up to 1k a run for their money and that statement is correct.

I agree with MBR that it's the best sub £750 bike on the market but opinions an all that

so why are you so worried about the colour of your bike?

Would you drive around in a garish car? If you're paying £500+ for a bike, you're allowed to want it to look nice as well as perform well.

It looks great pics don't do it any justice at all. Especially the stock halfords pics.

I thought it looked dodgy at first until I went and had a look properly.

so why are you so worried about the colour of your bike?

Why are you so worried that someone wants to like the look of a bicycle before buying it?
Edited by: "rev6" 10th May 2016
def not worried - but if it was me Id just go ride the thing, get it muddy, and not care what it looks like. but each to their own obviously some people are very concerned what it looks like.

Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to like the look of something before buying it. That way we have choice as things are designed for specific tastes.
I've just ordered one for collection, my only worry is; will the British cycling membership discount work. It states not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, but I've used a 10% code...
btw cheers OP

It will be working as it worked for me, will update you with all details later on.
Paid £540 for this (- some quidco) a couple of months ago. Amazing bike, but kicking myself now that I could have saved £63+ Either way, great bike and spec for the money
Just picked up mine! It's an ex display one. So with the Halfords own 10% discount it was 476.99, then apply the 10% BC discount and 10% for ex display (bundled as 20%), brings it down to 381.60. However I chose to do it on 0% 12 months finance (@ £399) and chose to get the discount as freebies: topeak mini pump, bottle holder and camelbak bottle, and some gloves. Big shout out to the Blackburn Halford guys for being so accommodating!
Just trying to get my head around the stacking. Can someone confirm if this is correct please?
Apply for BC membership (receive membership card?)
Buy required number of vouchers after calculated discounts for 10% less
Order item online to collect in store using any discount code
Display BC membership card in store to receive discount.
Pay with halfords vouchers.
Any idea of timeframes for BC card and vouchers to arrive?
Thanks.
hi

i know next to nothing about bikes

could someone who does recommend a bike for a 12 year old boy for circa £150

thanks
You don't have to wait for your BC card. There will be a "your membership" type section on their website, just show it to them. I did just that today. I didn't want to wait for the halfordsbusiness vouchers.

Too late for you now, but it may help someone else: if you reserve the bike online then pay upon collection, then you get a few days grace which should be long enough for the vouchers to arrive.
Just wanna say thanks to OP too!

Stacked it all and went for it , should have gone hotter than the other bikes that were posted imo
Thanks again OP , my purchase was tipped by your post!
any halfords dicount codes doing the rounds atm? Looking to order a bike but cant find any
This bike is excellent, even at full price.
