bit pricy...with quidco I picked up an inspiron just before Xmas for about £375 main differences being
T5800 processor...slightly slower
2 Mp webcam...seem slightly better
4Gb ram...I only got 3
256 MB NVIDIA® GeForce..I had on board
you also opted for bluetooth and slot loading DVD
still nearly £200 of a difference...so I'm not sure if its hot or cold...

soooo what your saying is you got £200 less stuff for £200 less. Not really a comparison but a totally different product for a totally different price.

Not that great a price. I had the exact same spec for £470 in september with 2 small changes:

-I had the T9300 processor. (A bit better than this one)
-I had 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB.

Rest was exactly the same..... but....

My one was £100 less!!

EDIT: Also note that quidco is not included in the price. Just in case you were thinking. (although yours isnt either.)

Going from a T5800 to a T8300 processor is a £100+ option! I'd guess it wouldn't be worththe extra for most people. Vista business is an extra £30 odd and there are reasonable extras.

Nice business laptop on offer at Dell; good but not great price.

It gets very tempting if less than £500/- configuration is very nice..

Seems very much an everyday Dell price, nothing unusual, that's what they are.

Garbage ! I got pretty much the same deal for £399

Well you have kept that well hidden, as I would certainly be buying one as it would soon be one of the hottest deals this site has ever seen... a 570 quid Laptop for 400 quid doesn't come along everyday, especially as Dell prices are generally fairly keen to start with. There is one regular contributor on this site who finds some incredible Dell offers, but I am not sure he has found many like this one!

So, when you say "pretty much the same deal" what do you ACTUALLY mean, and when was that?

Lots of people make lots of wild claims on this site, and newbies are often the perpetrators of those wild claims, even more rarely do they ever come up with proof of what they say so, are you any different, I wonder?

We are all eyes and ears!
