But it has a smaller and lower resolution screen and uses AMD rather than Intel components so not a great comparison. I see what you mean though.

Don’t forget that many people really don’t require the latest and fastest technology and might actually get more from a bigger and higher resolution screen than from a dual-core CPU, extra RAM and Vista eye-candy. There isn’t a one size fits all and this may not appeal to many but I think it’s a good price for what it is. I’d be tempted to buy this and upgrade the CPU with a £20 eBay Core Duo and extra RAM and it would still come in at less than £440. Voted hot and trying not to reach for my wallet.
