Voxi black Friday deals are on.

Was recommended to try these guys out after having a rubbish time with 3.

Other deal they have;
20gb instead of 15gb £15/M
Unlimited text, mins, picture messages and social media usage.

Voxi use Vodafone network.

Monthly rolling contract.

Can go into a Vodafone store and collect a voxi sim there and then.
£10 up front for the first month and add a direct debit via the website.

Did a few speed tests earlier.
3 mobile I was getting 0.1mbs to 5mbs average (peak at 20mbs)
Voxi I hit over 160mbs download and 60mbs upload speed.

I've been with Voxi for around six months now on the same deal, about 4 months ago they apparently started doing work on the network and my data has never decreased since then and it always shows 8gb data left even if I hammer it with Netflix and tethering to my laptop, my wifes is the same and never decreases.

I just ordered my SIM, as I was waiting for this deal.

Just out of curiosity. The only option I had on the site was to order a free SIM, or login.
My guess is, order the SIM, sign up with the SIM digit code when it arrives in post then select which plan I want. Is that correct?

Correct. If you received a text from them, all plans are currently totally unlimited until further notice.
It's all location dependent.

I was with Three - absolutely fine. Speeds always very good. In Edinburgh. Since switched to ID (who run on Three), also fine, obviously. But I tried Vodafone at some point in the past and they were terrible. Speeds were abysmal.

Can you get wifi calling with them?
Just ordered a SIM, not sure why you have to wait for the Sim to come before you can set up the package but never mind.

No neither 4G calling
My data has also been stuck on 8gb for months, streaming youtube and netlix for hours and it does not budge, absolutely brilliant.

Got two sims for the kids and theirs is the same. 8gb and never decreases
I use voxi to go abroad as they do 45 GB for 20 quid which is perfect for the kids and streaming. Superb connection and not a.problem at all.
I moved to Voxi from iD mobile last month and have so far found them great. The reviews aren't too good, mainly because of customer service, I had an issue when I swapped over and had to contact them over chat and the help was really good and they got the issue sorted.

I'm on the £10/8GB deal and I'm also getting the unlimited data (for now!).
I'm on the 10 quid since last month, and the 6 gig has not decreased, and I've hammered it. I thought I was lucky until I seen posts above saying its all unlimited this now lol
Moved from EE 4 months ago. Must say network is pretty rubbish. Reminded me of the 00s.

However must say I can't complain, since they cannot work out my data usage, so for £10pm I have unlimited data !

It's fine, it's been on going for a few months now. They're doing background stuff, upgrades and whatnot, so all plans are currently unlimited. They sent out a text to the customer base regarding this (albeit a month after they stopped counting bandwidth usage :p)

Here is the text for anyone worried / who joined recently and haven't got the text yet

Hi, we're making some technical updates to our plans so to make sure you're not impacted, we've temporarily switched you over to completely unlimited data. To make sure your unlimited data is activated, just restart your device. We'll text you to let you know when everything is back to normal. Thanks, VOXI.

Wait so it’s truly unlimited even on YouTube and non social media websites ?

Yep!

I can't say the same for EU usage, maybe there's a fair use policy somewhere, but so far I've been taking full advantage of the unlimited data in the UK
Used voxi before. Great signal in the north east. Decent CS when needed. Hot
I'm still enjoying unlimited data for 10 per month.

Kingston by the hospital I had 4g+ and hit 160mbs down and 60iah upload (I was so surprised).

But there have been times I've had weak signal and got slow connections. Usually indoors, but so far this has been a much better service than what o had with 3 mobile.

Has anybody successfully used a PAC code to transfer from Vodafone to Voxi, given they are the same network ? Ideally I'd set up a new Voxi account to get the £10 cashback and transfer my number via PAC code.

apparantly if you contact them via their message service they can just swap you onto a Voxi account and not even swap out your sim - keep the same sim card and number
For anyone in London thinking of switching to Voxi, but worried about data speed, here's a slightly out-dated video but I think it is still relevant (for 4G and below). Voxi uses Vodafone network, so just use the results for Vodafone for reference.

Thanx lavafire. Really helpful video. That adds support to my thoughts about Three.
