Can you move to a better deal if you are already on the old 6gb one?

Moved to VOXI last time this deal was out, fast and reliable
I moved to Voxi when this was last on..never get above 10mb speed!! Its usually around 5mb. Got a lot better with virgin 70mb - 100mb
I know a lot depends on area, etc but I get the same speed in other areas ive travelled too. Friends are on various other networks EE,3,etc and always get 70mb or more so maybe its throttled as its Vodafone?
38405482-Wybxf.jpgNo throttling here.

VOXI is definitely not throttled
38405512.jpgYou might need to adjust some settings, this is usually the case for this sort of issue. If you go on a live chat through the VOXI website you should be able to get help with doing that

Also, have you checked coverage in your area prior to ordering a SIM?

There may be some settings in peoples phones because my daughter has just binned Voxi because she was getting terrible 4g speeds on her Xiaomi A1 phone.
I have a Xiaomi redmi note 4 and if we do speed tests in the same room she gets about around 10Meg on 4g and if I try my Voxi straight after her test I was getting 70 meg????
Has anyone else experienced the data not being used on Voxi when it should be?
For example last month my data showed 7.82GB remaining for the last 20 something days so on the last few days before it renewed I hammered it with BBC Iplayer, youtube netfilx etc and it never went down??
As an existing customer currently on the 6gb for £10 plan, when i click to update to 8gb, it says "Your new plan will start on x and last for 24months...."

I'm not inadvertently locking myself into a 24m contract am i?

It's not gone down because VOXI are updating their system and everyone is on an unlimited data plan until the system updates. No notification will be given to customers when the system is updated to provide even more endless possibilities but data will start to be used again when work is finished

Enjoy the endless!

No no, you're definitely not. This just means your data will go back to 6GB after 24 months as long as your plan remains active. You're definitely free to leave if you decide you want to

Ditto......it looks like it wants to lock me in.....for 2 years.....for the extra data. No tar. Cynical move Vodafone.
No your not locking yourself into anything, it's just letting you know that the additional data offer will last 24 months unless you miss a payment in which case you would drop back to the standard amount of data.

It doesn't lock you into a contract. It just means you'll go back to the plan you were on (lose the extra data) after 2 years
Good deal! Did this last time.

Also signed up by some random guys referal link (Baring in mind HUKD rules) on VOXI's FB page and to my delight got a £10 voucher for Amazon recently.

Seems good so far. The intial pains are setting up the 4G on my phone but eventually it works.
Cheers! Didn't know about this and i am with voxi already on the 15gb plan.

To be fair the Mi A1 has always had issues with 4G. I get better speeds using 3G.

Seem to recall an update borked it and they've never got round to fixing it.

Will I'm currently using Voxi in Spain and have hammered the 45gb SIM using (as per the phone) about 35gb, yet Voxi still showing 45gb free, and this is after 8 days!

So will it recalculate, or will I have 45gb to use in my final 7 days?

Once the work is finished you will start using your data again but any data you should've used during the maintenance will not be taken from your account

That actually sound fair and I give respect for them to do that.

I think most networks would do the same - the alternative would be being (justifiably) flooded with complaints and negative tweets after the maintenance was finished.

I'm already on the 20gb for £15 plan from last promo, and my data has been at 20gb for the whole month.

Messaged then and apparently they're doing some updates in the background, so just keep an eye on the data being updated but they won't count usage against my 20gb while they're doing the updates. I've used about 60gb so far this month

I've enjoyed tethering data to my Switch worry free. VOXI is better than Sky Fibre from my experience!

Comment was relating to data not counting against your allowance on Voxi whilst they were doing maintenance on their systems.

The deal itself is fine!
Awaits Voxi Unlimited
can i put that in a dongle and use it on a laptop?

Thats from 2 months ago when this deal was on previously. (And I had no wifi in my new place)

So I bought the 8gb with Endless video package for an extra £7

I contacted them many times and they all said its fine so just been using my data instead of the wifi for the last 2 months.

I really hope they dont manage to fix it, my new place can only get 17mbps wifi while my 4g+ speeds hit 300mbps

Been loving voxi so far so no complaints from Me

Thinking of it's worth upgrading to the 20gb plan? Comparatively, not bad.
