Would you not be wary/paranoid of the Android install on these crazy cheap random brands?
    Looks great value, heat added

This or lenovo tab 3 10"?? 2 gb ram 16gb
Lots of heat from me, cracking deal!
    Worthy of a heat vote.
That Mali-720 will barely drive the OS, so don't think about playing games with this.

Yeah had Mali t720 on Lenovo k3 note and it wasn't very good. Although I think most of the issues were to do with thermal throttling. On paper it's has decent specs that just don't seem to translate to the observed performance.
Can serve mainly as a digital photo frame... ..!!??

Specs look amazing for the price, but is want to read some reviews to find out about battery and build quality first.

    It's not unusual
This sounds great, I've been looking for a new phone to replace my 4" huawei blade
If it’s anything like the two Voyo 7” tablets I got for my kids, I’d take the battery capacity with a huge pinch of salt
This is the same spec exactly as the Teclast 98. I've got one of those and its pretty good - agree it's not for gaming but build quality is v.good and battery life is fine.

Do the SIMs (slots) work on your unit?
I'm looking for a 7" phablet so wondering whether to go with the VOYO (£55.90) which is only Android 5.0 & 3G but 2GB/32GB & 4000mAh Li-ion polymer battery
    geekbuying.com/ite…tml

or pay a bit more for the better known LENOVO (£76.58) which has 4G & Android 6.0 but 1GB/16GB & 3450mAh Li-ion battery
    geekbuying.com/ite…tml

    Any advice/opinions? Thanks
Gearbest offering Android 7 version though..!

Customs fees are not factored in. If you really want to buy this, choose the DE or IT option shipping from EU for an additional 15. You will get it much faster and will probably be cheaper.

Yes they do - I saw the review where they were faulty, but mine work (tried with EE and 3)
Is this full of spyware?!? Seen lots of these cheap Chinese brands lately with spyware that's difficult to get rid of. Will an unlocker flashing it get rid of it

I think generally people are a little unrealistic about what to expect from a battery.
So my 5.5" smartphone lasts me about 10Hrs usage (no gaming) and the screen uses about 40% or about 1200mAh.

Now a 10.1" tablet has a screen area about 4 times the size so I would expect it to use about 4800mAh (or nearly the entire battery). So as the screen accounts for about 40% of usage you should expect about 4 hours of general usage. If gaming then expect considerably less.

Some tablets do have tiny batteries. The Voyo X7 for example only has a 2000mAh battery. That would be considered small for a phone nevermind a tablet.

    Examples or evidence?
    2G only available....

What is the WiFi connection like? I've heard of weak WiFi on the Teclast brand and wondered if it is a general issue for cheap tablets
    I have one,
    It has dual band wifi, it will pick up a dual band 2.4 and 5 ghz bands if your router has these. I find Wifi speeds are not bad ;

it connects to my wifi at 30 -40 mbps , other devices in my house connect at anything up to 90 mbps

The Tablet is reasonably quick, I have no issues with it, however, the touch screen is not very responsve

There is an interesting tech discussion here

So mine just arrived. First impressions is very good APART from I don't seem to be able to insert a sim. I was using
my nano sim. SIM doesn't click into place like other devices.
The instructions are useless. Has anyone got one and how did they insert their sim? Do I need a full size sim? I
have a gifgaff dull size but wouldn't recognise it.

    Thanks.
To answer my question... you need a STANDARD size sim. Push fully down into the sim slot.
