Pretty spectacular price!

Great find !

sweet I had my eye on something like this for like 6 years, but never had the money to spare on better sounds

hell of a process to go through to download it though, it comes with a 35 step pdf for how to download it.

this needs moved to deals instead of freebies

Yup. My mistake

Also xpand! 2 is the same price. I bought it first and saw this too. If you scroll down to the "You may also like" section its there.

Just be aware that this is a big download and you'll need plenty of disk space. Samples when uncompressed take 9.1GB of space. If you're a musician, you'll love that range of samples and fidelity and have plenty of disk space. The download is about 8GB. That said it sounds great.

Worth it for 9GB of multi-sampled articulated string sections on your PC though, isn't it? Really, you just have to register and install the iLok copy protection system if you don't have it already, paste in the serial number and download and install the software.

Nice find. I recently bought a fishman triple play pickup so I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this!

I know, I wasn't talking about the Strings Orchestral Companion. I was replying to yancoates who was saying Xpand!2 was a pound so I gave him the link to save a quid.

ah awesome, I havent gotten round to doing that yet because busy with post christmas, but that instruction manual for doing that easy thing is a wordy melonfarmer, I will assume it is easier that the instructions make it ^_^ even if it was as bad as it looks though im sure the sounds are worth it

You can upgrade to quite a hefty bundle for ~£55.
About 19 individual pieces and a third of them are fairly substantial:

Yeah I had seen it free a few weeks after I got it for a quid, thought that was a limited time offer though. Still...was only a quid lol.

will this work with cubase?

If you can install VST instruments then I don't see why not.

Doesn't seem to be anymore. Trial version is free, £55 for full version.

Would this work with either/or Garageband and Roland Fantom G8?

Great deal, thanks OP!

Be prepared for a long wait and multiple failed downloads. After paying my £1 I've tried six times. So far I've no complete download (and yes - I do have fibre broadband).

The dl link is only active for 30 days too!

For £1, you can't go wrong. It sounds OK, little muddy but that could just be the recording.
