These are great for kids, as they are very robust, however, the picture quality is bad, and I mean really bad, 2 megapixel quality I think.

Heat added though for the price.

If you are looking for an equivalent cheaper kids camera, Asda do one for about £9.

Its actually something like 0.3mp. The quality is very very very poor. I'm selling my sons on eBay at the moment. I've never seen pictures of such poor quality before, they're just a waste of time, wouldnt recommend the camera to anyone.

However, £33 is good for a new one, if thats what you want.

this is the old one, and yes 0.3MP, so very poor output (my daughter has one)
The new plus version is 2MP which would be a massive improvement

This seems like a poor deal, sorry...

The blue plus version (2mp) is £36.78 on amazon (same as play have for the old one)

The pink (the one I'm after) is a little dearer at £39.97 on amazon

They have the new ones in costco (blue and pink) with a case/bag for it for £35 i think including vat but cant be sure, seen them 3 or 4 days ago. Got a pink one from amazon about a month ago and my 4 yo daughter loves it, even has some games built in for when shes bored. Think I paid £38 off amazon without the bag.

I bought one of those cameras for my youngest and it went straight in the bin. On its highest settings you could only take 20 pics, there is only the tiny view finder and the resolution came out less than 0.1 megapixel. Plus it didnt have a flash.

I just bought a cheaper digital camera, may be less robust but you get much better quality.

For this deal its the cheapest I have seen it so heat added.

cold from me these are really overpriced, and the quality is pathetic. for a pound more you could have...

Agreed, bought one for daughter at Xmas, awful picture and kids are so up on technology these days she got bored of it (aged 4) and prefers taking pics on my iPhone or old digital camera I gave her. Will try and ebay hers too.

These are good fun , for the fun of taking pics , the pics are not good , but if they are jusr messing around what does it matter ,you could pay more but will the normal digi cam take being dropped , biggest problem is it's hard to get the pics off the cameras sometimes
I got ours for £25 after xmas in a small shop selling them 1/2 price

We bought one at Christmas from Sainsburys in their half-price toy sale for £25. Both my 4-year old and my 2-year old love it. The picture quality isn't great, but it does the job. They are learning how to aim and take pictures and in toddler tantrums it has been thrown onto hard concrete several times and still looks immaculate. We also have an SD card in ours so it fits lots of photos on it. I would recommend it as long as you aren't relying on it for decent pictures.

We have the 2MP version and it is a good kids camera with 'adequate' picture quality, it's robust and has games and picture effects on as well, however if this one is a 0.3mp version then I'd avoid as the picture quality will be poor, unfortunately it doesn't say on the play.com site what the resolution is but the picture looks like the 0.3mp version.

You're missing the point.

This is a kids camera. So built to be used by toddlers. Don't think the Samsung you linked to would hold up very well when a 4 year old threw it down the stairs.

My sister asked me to get one of these for her toddler a year or two back. It was the old version (don't think the new one had been released yet) and she got weeks of entertainment out of it .... and she still hasn't managed to smash it up.

Good price.

I have the 2mp one and its fine quality for the kids to use. And very strong.

If you are a Costco member then you can pick one up with a case for £35 at the moment. Pink and blue.

My son uses his 2mp version regularly, he loves it. If this is old version then this is very cold for me.

Comes up as £37.98 for me.

In any case, Tesco (our local at least) are doing these for £39.97 in case you need it quickly...

The Kiddizoom Plus is 2mp, the Kiddizoom is 0.3.....am guessing this is the original, which is a waste of time now that the better one is out. My 4 year old adores hers, we toyed with getting her a "grown up" camera but went with htis, and am so glad as it has been dropped on the patio more times than I care to think about!

just to let anyone know ive just bought this from @play and its the kiddizoom plus 2mp.
