RRP £209 apparently, and has some good reviews on amazon: amazon.co.uk/VTX…2ZM . Found some benchmarks of it playing BF4 ultra 1080p at 40-50fps which isn't bad.

That is an amazing price for that GPU.

Hm still works for me, what happens when you click it?

Weird. It wasn't working. Now it is. Damn iPhone!

Looks like a good deal. Ordered it and heat added. Thanks

Just in time I am looking to buy R9 280 this seems too good of a price not to buy

Why? Because Pixmania will leave you high and dry if something goes wrong with the product. Cowboys.
Google should explain further.

Have u had personal issues with em?
As google gives 50-50 results. Some love some hate but in the end people are more likely to post/comment on occasions when something is bad. As if all is well u dont bother.

Well i will see when i get the card ect and if it does not come i can use chargeback so not worried at all really. As its a bargain card at this price.

Do you know anything about Pixmania where they are etc. sometimes things seem to be a good deal but personal experience of this company is something else 6 months of phone calls and emails
To sort their cockup. The worst company I have come across in over 40 years of consumerism.
They are the pits. Nightmare of nightmares if things go wrong. Hopefully, you maybe lucky but
If you are not you too will probably end up trying to save others an avoidable hassle and time

Okay, will see , fingers crossed everything works out

I would also suggest avoiding them. They are in France and you won't be able to get any help from them (unless you are lucky enough). And VTX3D, well how is their warranty? You save £20 now but may have to spend >£20 and time to sort out any problem you may encounter. I'd buy a brand with proper service from a proper uk based etailer for some £ more. Good luck.

Gaming is small hobby so wont be going extreme with it. Also thats why didnt want to spend much.

Good price. But need to add on delivery which is £6.90

My order is sayin despatched.

Good luck. I have used Pixmania twice before without issue (although the items did not have any faults) and this is a great price. I am very tempted myself.

I currently have a HD 7850 XFX Core Edition card and I am going to get The Witcher 3. However it looks like it won't be able to handle the game very well. Do you think this R9 280 will be able to play it on high settings?

Looks like a good price, even if its a brand I've never heard of.
Reviews look good on amazon and the cooler looks decent.

Bougt this card few months ago via flubit for £130, an awesome performance for the money, even with noisy capacitors (common "issue" with R280 series)

Would this be a worthwhile upgrade from a nvidia 650ti boost thanka

VTX are more well known in mainland Europe than over here I believe but they are certainly not a no name brand. Have a couple of their cards, HD6950's, and they've been fine over the last couple of years.

Pixmania deals (nearly) always go cold, because if you DO have an issue with an item bought form them, don't expect anything but trouble, and remember, don't expect the law to back you up, they are based in France, so UK consumer law means Jack to them...
Personally, for the sake of saving a few quid, I'd never risk dealing with them.

Cheeky as hell calling it a 280 X-edition... will fool a fair few people into thinking it's a 280X when it's not.

Shame it's pixmania. For that card (basically a 7950 in old money) it's definitely a nice deal. For the price it's about all you'd need for "good" settings in pretty much everything out at 1080p, would struggle at anything bigger. Have a 7950 and it's happily maxed out gta5 settings.

I went for a sapphire R9 280 from amazon last week for £139. happy with it and as always amazon very good with any problems so happy to pay a little extra for the safety

I bought this on Friday from Pixmania and it arrived today. I didn't post it as I know people knock Pixmania. I had never used them before and for the price decided to take the plunge (using a credit card for some protection).

I haven't had too much time this evening to really give it a good run out but it was performing at 60fps at 1080p with only minor dips. Running an overclocked I5-2500k at 4ghz for reference. It does give off a 'whining' noise when under load, the volume seeming to differ at times, kind of made more obvious when it disappears during a loading screen. For the price I can't say that this bothered me. If anyone has any questions about the card I'll do my best to answer.

The 7950 won't "MAX" out GTA V at 1080p at anywhere near 60FPS.

powercolor rebrand if memory serves me correctly.
I have an old vtx 6850 in my backup rig. been chugging away quite happily for years. about on its last legs now though!

Ordered on Monday and it arrived today. Works perfectly, so looks like I won't have to get a refund, which apparently is impossible with Pixmania from what I've been reading. Good luck if you bought one too!
