Thanks for posting. I’ve added the price and merchant to the title.
Here’s a ‘Help’ link which gives tips and advice on thread posting.

I understand why the op didn't want to mention the merchant - it's Pixmania!

Good price, poor etailer...

I thought I added it in the title. Thank you for adding it. Just a quick question, what's wrong with the merchant? I ordered the card and hope it will arrive without problems

They are cowboys.

vtx3d + pixmania = best combination ever for warranty! Good choice op ... Lol

Good price, not so sure about Pixmania though but voted hot for the price!

Would gladly pay more to avoid the horror of dealing with the notorious Pixmaniacs oO

I smell failure.

Avoid pixmaniacs at all costs!

i know a couple of people who have bought VTX and every one of them have had issues. Great price and i have never had any issues with pix mania myself but i wouldnt touch that brand of GFX card.

I had a VTX 280X last month before upgrading. Cooler is excellent to be fair. Very quiet with good temps.

Just to weigh in here, though I appreciate it's anecdotal; I ordered two very cheap 6850s from them back when they were new cards, and they were both "Pixmania" branded on the site. Ended up receiving 2 sapphire cards of a decent trim level. No issues from me. When it comes to products like this, you know what you're getting, as long as they ship it ok and aren't too bad with returns I don't see an issue.

Well I know one person who's owned a VTX3D card (me), and I was very happy with it. It was just a 7850 that I bought to tide me over when my 4870 went pop, but I used it for about 18 months and never had a single issue with it. Only just replaced it a couple of weeks ago when I bought a 280X.

i completely understand that. I know people wont touch XFX cards, my last 3 have been XFX and have served me well.

VTX3D = powercolor just a rebrand if anyone are wondering.

Sorry... hadn't spotted the "lol". Irony. D'oh. Lol.

I remember the last time I ordered from pix mania and they used to just put everything they sent in a box with no filler so by the time it arrived it had been shaken in to small fragments of whatever the original contents were meant to be. That still going on?

I remember the last time I ordered from Pixmania. Incidentally, it happened to be the first time, too.

I've actually abused a couple of VTX3D cards, and they've had no problems at all.
Pixmania on the other hand...

very good for cryptocurrency mining. could return its value within a month so long as you plug it in at work..

Based on what I've seen with 24 cards, I'd say that's nonsense.

If you had only searched for "r9 280x" into this very website you'd have came up with this:

The point is not about how solid vtx3d cards are. They require you to deal with retailer for warranty, and pixmania has the best CS on the planet. So you can guess the rest of story

I'm interested in the part "aren't too bad with returns". Would you mind sharing your return experience with pixminia? Where do you return to and how much it cost? Turn around time? Think that May help people decide.

That would have gotten me a r9 280, not a r9 280x

You're right, sorry about that, should've payed more attention!

To be clear: I never had to return anything. What I mean is that as long as the company isn't THAT bad, it might be worth the risk for the low price.
