tHIS IS A NICE SET OF 2X4GB RED REASONABLY LOW PROFILE SO SHOULD FIT MOST/ALL BUILDS . eSPECIALLY GOOD FOR AMD APU AS their graphics uses the meme#ory and FAST memory will add frames per second. MUM DAD this is the ideal christmas present for young Jenny. Its great to have 8gb as this seems to be the new minimum. Deal coz its £50 every where else. Only downside seems to be the relaxed timings and slightly higher voltage (needed to drive them at 2400Mhz , normal memory 1300mhz) Bold red.
Fill yer Boots (and stockings) jingle bells jingle bells jingle ....blah blah etc etc.

Nope have you tried buying DDR5 for a desktop/laptop?
DDR4 is the current trend for computers, DDR5 in graphics cards maybe

Old ram now not worth buying

if you have a ddr3 system, then its totally worth buying. and there are lots out there due to the very marginal performance gains of skylake.

Why is 8gb for £50 hot?

What am I missing?

what nonsense , DDR4 systems are still fairly new with many DDR3 computers out in use, probably hundreds of millions of them, maybe billions.

DDR3 ram is fine, however there are now offers for 16gb 2400 DDR3 ram from £60-80, if you are buying DD3 ram now, it is probably due to upgrading an older 4 or 8gb system, So id avoid this until there are maybe better offers for 16gb sets.

Chinese RAM doesn't phone home or gather up your data. Most systems beyond the bleedin edge still ddr3.
