UPDATE : THIS DEAL DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY FORM OF PROOF - REGARDS BUSINESS MILEAGE CLAIM / MILEAGE ALLOWANCE

Great deal.
Can it be applied without a car allowance?

Would an email to myself from work confirming that i receive mileage allowance for travelling between offices - or a copy of the company policy document - be sufficient to secure this deal (even though I haven't travelled between offices personally over the past 5 years)?

Voted hot anyway!!!

Yes I would have thought so, best call the company in the morning
When I applied direct to the finance company they were more than happy with a copy of a completed mileage claim form

Another GolfR deal!? What's going on with these? Great engine got the current S3 so know what it's like! Heat for me

Does this have an DSG gearbox OR can I pay for the upgrade in advance?

I would like an automatic gearbox, just for the sake of it

The banner at the top of the page indicates that you can get a DSG but they haven't got the prices yet. I suggest you get a manual quote now whilst this price is active. DSG can be added later.

Pretty sure you need to add VAT to the admin fee making it £239. Could be mistaken, but when I ordered from NVS that was the case. (That being said, the admin fee was £150 plus VAT back then.)

No, unfortunately not.

Starting to come round to the idea of PCH but this is the first time I've heard of needing a car allowance to apply. You couldn't briefly explain what you mean by that could you? restrictions etc. Cheers

Well, since posting the deal and having spoken to the company this morning, it now turns out you don't now need any form of proof regards business mileage, the only real criteria is you must be full time employed.

Hope that helps

Thanks it clears up the deal, still lost why you'd need proof of business mileage with a personal deal though?

Excellent! I wonder why the Business deal page also has VAT included, when the leasing prices on that page don't.

Yep, late Feb early March

Good deal but if your thinking about putting a private plate on this motor, finance company charge £50 extra(If don't put on straight away). Just checking with CentralVehicleLeasing who are also doing this deal to see if they charge also.

well they know that anyone with a private plate is quite happy to spend money for no good reason, and won't query the charge.

What kind off charges/clauses are there when returning the car? i.e. minor scratches etc Never PH a car before. Ta

anyone know what colour this will come with?

almost certainly a March registration with the new number plate. it will add some value go the vehicle to have it on a 15plate rather than a 64plate.

You're not very bright are you?

Buying a car you can afford is bright. No need to ever have a car payment.

Renting the metallic paint for £21 a month seems a bit steep, that's over £500 over the 2 years

What if you can easily afford the payments?

It's essentially the full cost of the paint over the standard paint... Any extras that you add you will pay for over the lease in full... I.e. You spec sat nav and that's an extra £480 as a cost option for the car; you will pay £20 extra per month for the lease.

Its actually £483.00 (x 23) but your right that's one drawback with short term leasing, you tend to pay the total amount for any optional extras, divided by the term.

I think DSG (auto) is around £31.00 p/m

sorry mooseepoo, didn't see your post
Yes I agree

Good deal if you only travel 26 miles per day.

Nearly 7 grand to drive a Bavarian tractor for 2 years? Lol.

I’ve managed to negotiate a cheaper deal with a VW dealer £7001 inc VAT over the term including metallic paint. True monthly cost is £296 in VAT

Emmac who is this deal off what branch of vw did u go to

I went to my local VW dealer this morning... Sat at a sales desk and said I was interested in a Golf R. The sales guy immediately said (without prompt) "We can't get anywhere near the lease deals that are out at the moment". All they could do over 48 months was £2000 deposit and around £490 per month for a 5dr with DSG. Please provide further details

Very good, is it 7001 though or 296 x 24 = 7104

Happy to share contact details tomorrow once I’ve been given permission by the dealer. I’m sure there won’t be any issues. What I can say is the initial payment payment is higher at £ 2259 inc vat however the dealership is giving me a rebate of £ 663 within 48 hours of collecting the car. Monthly payments are £235 in vat for 23 months. Making the 24 lease £7001. Also no doc fee to pay.

Sorry my mistake it’s £291 x 24 = £6984
