Seems like a fantastic deal for a new Tiguan, decent spec, which is £28k OTR.

Only 5k miles but even with allowing for excess miles, it's a great deal for an average of £222 per month over the period.

Unless she's gone for a 'top spec' Micra with 17 optional extras and 30k miles pa, then she's been had.

Looked at one of these when I picked up my Passat Alltrack, very nice car.
Definitely on my list for the next lease.

Let's be honest, the majority of people who do get a 4WD don't need it. Those that do need a 4WD will get something designed to do it!
This will drop the kids off at school and tow a caravan on the odd weekend so is ample for 90% of the 4WD owners in the UK!

Boots a bit small but you could probably put up with it for this price

4WD with DSG for £176.39 here

Anything looks cheap on a 20+23 profile. Cold.

That's one sexy looking vehicle

Doesn't the Tiguan have one of the biggest boots in its class?!

Cold...You can get an 8yr old Tiguan for the same price and get to keep it at the end.

In which case, they are not paying the same amount.

But from what they originally said, they're claiming to pay £5300 over a 2 year term for a Nissan Micra. Which is oO

No. Not really bothered either.

5,000 miles a year over 2 years, £2400 initial? You are having a laugh

Cold - deal is for 5000 miles, put 10000 miles in it (which is less thaqn most people do per year) and it bumped it up to £340 per month

The insurance is included?

Excess mileage is 7.2pence per mile

10,000 miles @ 7.2ppm is £720, so handing it back with 20,000 miles is an extra £30 per month
Freedom Contracts have the same offer for £109.99+VAT

if you select 10000 miles in the dropdown it increases the monthly to around 350.so its better to say 5000 and do 10000 than say 10000 and do 5000 (_;)

Yes, it normally is better to take the offer i.e. 5000 miles & then bank the excess mileage of £30pm till the bill comes in at the end.
This is what we've always done with our Golf's & I nearly ordered a Tiguan with Freedom @ £109.99+VAT, this deal with Gateway is £279+VAT cheaper.
Will be having a chat with them tomorrow, to see if they'll price match

Where did you get that figure of 7.2p from ? I'm currently looking for a business lease and VW cars are normally at least 16p. The car will depreciate by more then £5,339.77 in the first year so I would also like to here from anyone who gets this deal when the phone them. Seems to be a feeder ad (ie not real)

looking at leases currently. First time.
Am absolutely sick to death of these 'feeder ads'.
I have even resorted to emailing them for a quote and asking them to only reply if they can offer the deal they advertise. No effect.

Pay for 5000 miles.

Pay excess charge for 5000 miles.

Get a better deal than speccing 10k miles.

Profit.

Tiguan is a 2WD big car perfect if you're a 'yummy mummy' who needs something to drop little Arthur off at prep school and want to know you'll be safe and protected whilst speeding and not using mirrors in supermarket car parks.

Initial doesn't really matter should compare the total cost... least that's what I do

Would be better if it was the DSG (Automatic) version.

Also : Administration Fee : £150 + VAT (=£180) is missing from the total.

The pictures on the website are of a VW Tiguan R-line.

Yup best thing to do is quote this deal to the dealer they will probably match minus the admin fee

Yeah - and they'll send a 21 year old blond round every Saturday morning to valet it!

My 2 year Tiguan deal is comng to an end (personal lease). Paid same deposit and £89.99 per month for 5k miles per annum Model looks virtually the same, but obv mine was for the old shape.

The excess mileage fee is defintely correct at 7.2 with VWFS. In fact, mine will have done more like 30k over the two years. When VWFS got in touch a with 8 months left to pay to check the milage, they offered me the opportunity to increase the last 8 payments to cover 30k mileage at effectively half the cost of the what the excess would have been- so splitting the cost of the extra 20k miles over eight months. Means for my excess i will have paid around 3.5 p including VAT

Been offered this deal already as a replacement - so definately not a 'feeder ad' - especially with the high up front deposit.

Cold, 5k is just not enough. If you're driving so little, do you even need a car ?

I think all that is made up sorry to say. If the deal is available for 2 years at 119 pm then why if you increase it to 3 year is it £200 pm more? it does not make sense.
As I said first year depreciation on VW is high so lets say 30% year one, 15% year two. Year 3 is not going to be more then 15% so why does the extra year cost almost twice as much as the first two? On these figures you are getting a car worth £20k paying £5k to use it for two years and then handing back a car worth maybe £12 were is the profit in that. The lease company loses on the deal how do they stay in business? over 3 years you pay £15k that sounds right because the car still be worth more then £20 less £15k lease, they can sell it for around £8k and make £3k profit.

Did she not try anything else before paying a fortune for a terrible car, had one for 7 weeks while ours was in the bodyshop and cannot believe his anyone could pay for one of those and paying that much for a lease has to be the worst deal ever sorry
