Before anyone else jumps in, you may want to call it a vacuum cleaner, just saying!

Good point there, Hoover has become a universal word for a Vacuum, I copied it direct but have just edited it, cheers.

Which Hoover and where from?
I was watching this one for some time. I think Which? magazine did a report on it and they weren't too complimentary.
Edit: removed link.

In the end, I worked out that to get comparable performance to my corded vac I'd have to spend serious amounts of money, so I decided to stick with that for the moment.

That review is for a different one it's a Vytronix VTBC01 which is corded and a 1400w motor, I agree though a good corded will never be beaten by a cordless but then you can spend 300 quid on a cordless which can be beaten by a sub 100 corded all day long.

Cordless I would say are more for hard floors and stuff rather than carpets.

Ah, ok, my mistake, thanks for correcting. I can't access the Which? report for now as my membership has expired.

Mine hasn't. Here is what it says.

This cordless vacuum is a number one bestseller on Amazon and has great reviews – but it’s a piece of junk. Its carpet and crevice cleaning is among the worst we've ever seen on a cordless vacuum, plus it doesn't keep dirt safely locked up, and suction is quick to drop off. It's so bad we've made it a Don't Buy.
To be fair to the above I take which reviews with a pinch of salt now. I bought a Bosch ultimate cleaner based on their review as a best buy and suitable for all floors. It was £349.99 so not cheap.

On getting it home the quality of the cleaner was extremely good but on anything more than a carpet tile it just sucked itself to the floor and if you tried pushing it all it did was stop the brush head from turning. Turning the power down just made it inefficient. I sent it back and luckily got my money refunded. Three of us tried the cleaner and we all had the same opinion. Ideal for laminate and zero pile carpet.

It was obvious to me that which had not tried this cleaner in the home environment where we have proper deep pile carpets. I wrote to them twice pointing out their review did not give a true opinion in the home environment. They failed to acknowledge my emails. I wonder when I raise this on their new face group site and see if I get a response.

We bought the G-tech air ram MK2 which is ideal for deep carpets.
The item posted looks remarkably like the one sold at Lidl recently.

So it's 0.3kg lighter and £10 more and has terrible ratings on amazon, I researched a lot of these and you will find B&M were selling those for £29.99 new or the similar model FD22G bmstores.co.uk/pro…743
