Hi, i have added an image for you Thanks for posting!
Just at the check out in aldi, refreshed and there was the deal. Gonna enjoys these.... Cheers OP x

Isn't real wagyu...I have eaten the real stuff ( both steaks and burgers) in Japan. When I bought it here it just was a million miles away from the real thing.Just make your own burgers at home with good quality mince.
Wonder if they'll still have these tomorrow ?

my Leicester store had two full boxes hope you're store has them too. cooked them for dinner tonight and they're delicious. I'll be back tomorrow for some more for the freezer
For £2.99 I don't expect it to be from Japanese wagyu.
I picked up some in Exeter today after my partner noticed them, there weren't many packets left. Hoping they taste good!

You bought it 'here', or you bought it from Aldi (just wondering if you were tarring one because you didn't like what you bought 'over here')?
What makes you suspect it isn't real Wagyu, it's labelled as such and I'd imagine trading standards would be very interested to hear otherwise.

he bought some beef and brought it home for his son called burt
OP States in description that it is New Zealand Wagyu...not from Japan...and don't be such a snob, not everyone can have the chance to visit Japan and those that do don't always feel the need to splash out £100 on a bit of beef. Much rather spend my cash on a bowl of Ramen and some Aldi Wagyu burgers

Doesn't work like that for wagyu there is a loop hole. I believe even if there is a trace of the original wagyu cow as such in the bloodline they can still call it wagyu even though it won't resemble anything like the real thing

    That's not a loop hole....that a Chasm
I bought one of the Wagyu steaks from Aldi in June and it was really nice (better than any other steak I've bought from supermarkets or butchers).

If I remember correctly the meat comes from an animal that is half Wagyu
New Zealand should be ashamed of themselves. To even call there beef Wagyu is a huge disservice to the real stuff from Japan.
    lol wagyu beef

its just normal burgers people nothing to see here!
Anybody any idea of the ingredients? Any mention of these containing gluten?

    Thanks
Wagyu is just a bread it can come from anywhere. Don't get it this confused with the Kobe steak from Japan, it's not in the same class.
Yes we all know it's not Japanese, hand massaged, beer fed Wagyu Beef.but it is £8.79 kilo not around £100,but it gives everyday people a chance to at least have something different. If you want the real thing and have more money than sense heres a link to Japan airlines so you can go there

Same price in Asda, but wagyu burger is a nonsense, wagyu is about marbling, but when you mince meat the marbling is destroyed and you get the same effect by adding lard mysupermarket.co.uk/ald…tml

    A bread?
For 3 quid it seems that these are quite good and while they aren't going to be the gourmet meat that some members are used to, they'll be a nice change for many of us, especially at this turkey-heavy time of year :-) I'll be sampling a pack if there's any in my local Aldi.

These are really nice, we have already tried them. I think I will put a few boxes away for the festive period.

Not at all, tasty burgers require a high fat content. Simple as.

    They're £3.75 a pack or 2 for £6
No one has said it's Kobe, hand massaged, beer Fed listening to classical music... But that doesn't actually exist. The real question is "do these 3 quid burgers represent good value for money?". As far as I can say that is true. Everyone who claims to have purchased (i haven't as I've not seen them and I'm extremely disappointed I've not) says they're excellent. If I see them I'll buy them.

    Not Lard though.
Plenty of fat comes out of these when they are fried. You don't actually eat the fat though, it's left in the pan. So, just to re-cap; There is a LOT of fat in these BUT as you cook them, the fat runs OUT of the burger. What I like about this site is just how friendly and helpful everyone is.
    great!! cheers!!
You get what you pay for.

mine were amazing. I tossed my home made potato wedges in the fat from the burgers fat which gave them a really nice flavour.
