Cold was £4.99 5 years ago?! JOKE! Bargain have some heat
Hot just for the coloured combs, they are £8 in my local salon supplies shop
Hot. Bought!
Bought these last year, apart from the colour coded blades there's nothing good about them at all. the performance is below average and it takes forever to cut evenly. the noise is alot louder than necessary and the blades go blunt very quickly. We only used ours a few times (max 3) and had to buy a new one. You might aswell pay a little bit more for something more decent.

I thought Wahl was a decent brand? Certainly seems to be the brand of choice in barber shops.
Saying that, professionals probably don't buy their tools from Argos!
i have bought this one few months a go for around £12-13.
i am happy with these clippers. at this price bargain. HOT
The blades rusted within 2 weeks and we had to return.
I've had this for a few years after my hairdresser recommending it. I cut my kids hair regularly with it and think it's great.

They are a good brand, it's just that they pump out some very low quality clippers for home use. Their proper clippers are great.
I have a pair of Wahl that my mum bought back in the 90's, they were something like 25 quid and they are still amazing, very quiet, no rust and still give an even cut all around, it actually says Made in the USA on them, how rare is that!

I have tried to get a replacement pair because I lost some comb lengths for them but every pair of Wahl I buy is made in china, loud as **** and just crap! I wish we could get quality stuff like we used to

I have these great for cutting my boys hair, just ask them to remember the colours they want and off we go!
Does any one know if the comb guides will fit all Wahl clippers? I have some old ones from back in the 80's that are still great, but I've lost most of the attachments for them.

From what I've seen everything fits everything, be it these plastic type or the ones with a metal spring clip, credit to Wahl for coming up with a standard and sticking to it through thick and thin...Apple anyone!
Wahl 9655 cordless is currently £10 at ASDA if you can find one.
If you want good clippers, buy a good brand with a CERAMIC blade and they will last for years.

I paid £22.99 for a Remington set in 2003 with a ceramic blade and they are still working perfectly.

If you buy a budget set for less than a tenner, don't be surprised if they rust/go blunt in a few months.
Can you use these on a dog
Have had one of these from argos. just all black and combs. same model . had for 3 years now. cut my hair one a mth bare blade. if you keep them clean and oiled stays SHARP! havent had to change my blade yet

Can you use these on a dog

you could, but with pet hair being thicker, it can jam up the dubbers quite quick, so you have to keep dismantling the blades as the fur get clogged up underneath, you'd be better off getting a pet specific tool for the job...had these since March 2012 & work great

I bought this 4 weeks a go, it was bad, I have really fair fine hair and it was just really bad, my 3 year old Babyliss ones did a better job.
I bought some of these when on offer around £15 to replace old Wahls and had them replaced twice in about 3 months. Had my money back and got the ones around £30 which have been fine for about 2 years. (2 users). No problem getting them changed or money back but a pain going backwards and forwards to Argos. The sturdier ones in the past have lasted us about 10 years.
paid £12.99 for this the other week from argos ¬_¬
Just given this a go, if does feel a bit cheap compared to the Wahl Powerdrive 300s is has replaced, although it did do the job. It does come with a 3 year guarantee so it cannot be that rubbish.........

If you use your clippers once a month (or more), my advice would be to spend the £14 extra and buy the 300s, it is heavier and noisier but the motor is a lot more powerful than this one......

Yeah! We should've stuck at RS232 instead of going to USB. Screw technological advances!

Comparing hair clippers to a phone is like comparing a cup to a car.

We got this one last year. It has been used approx 12-15 times and we have never had a problem with it. Yes it is quite loud....but apart from that it's great.
Looks great.

They're change for no benefit is the iDevice connector so get back in your box and stop trying to be clever.

No I have this one and one from years ago. This one has slightly narrower combs so they do not fit the older Whal.

This clipper set is OK IMHO but not as good as the old one was.

P.S. I Tried this one argos.co.uk/sta…htm previous to the Whal Colour Pro & those combs did fit the old Whal, if that helps? The Baybliss by the way was poor so returned.

These are the ones I got to replace the ones posted. Noisier than my old ones but effective and don't tug.
