the cordless ones are the same but... cordless. which is great... if you want to avoid getting hair bits in the carpet/dinner/everywhere. you can cut your hair up a mountain or... at sea or... nowhere near a 13amp socket. holds at least 39 mins power and can be used as a corded one if you prefer or run out of steam... (it's not steam driven).
Argos have really got on my tits during lockdown. They have everything you want on their website but nothing in stock anywhere. I've stopped looking.

Said it before and I'll say it again. If you're a beginner and want consistent cuts, get a corded clipper. The guys that use cordless ones are usually more experienced and thus quicker meaning the battery drain has less impact on the cut. And buy some oil for them too, even cheap clippers can last years and years with proper maintenance.

Hairdresser is open soon just wait

Not sure about the others but I for one don’t feel comfortable yet visiting one because of the lack of any social distancing norms possible in the confined spaces most hairdressers operate in.

Thank you! Was about to purchase the one on amazon for £20 and just saw this luckily. Cheers

Presumably a cordless one would be easier to use on yourself without the weight of a cord getting in the way?
I have the cordless one's but mainly use plugged in as they seems to be that bit more power that makes it quicker
Heat added

Be warned this thing gets super hot after a few minutes, to the point were you cant even hold it. Other than that really good clippers.

You need to use clipper oil.
Placed and paid for my order only to get an email 20 mins later saying it had been cancelled! Anyway had similar issues?
I got the Remington off Amazon recently and paid £16 but not in stock now and £20. However I would recommend getting some with the tapered guide combs included as it makes going around the ears so much easier. Also no heat problems with these. I can see the benefit of cordless but you do need the mirrors so not as useful as you might think; I just wish the cord on mine was a bit longer.
Cancelled order
I ordered some Wahl clipper oil and a 1.5 guard from Wahl shop to go with these. Saved as fortune in barbering costs.

Some cordless clippers last well over an hour of use though without the battery draining to the point where it degrades. How long does a haircut take? Agree re oil though.
Thanks op! Been trying to get a hold of these for 2 months wuthout success but tried today and got an order
Thx, cheap and cheerful for cutting my sons hair. Will follow the oil advice
Had them for near start of the lockdown. They do the job
they got me out of a hole. I would pay a bit extra and get one with a half stepper

Anyone else getting a cancellation about an hour after placing order?
All oos?
Amazing deal, ordered and heat!
Argos have really got on my tits during lockdown. They have everything you want on their website but nothing in stock anywhere. I've stopped looking.
I got one of these from Amazon for £12.99 toward the start of the lockdown (not in stock right away but I ordered and they actually delivered it in a couple of weeks). The problem was that we never actually had the courage to use it for fear of going wrong and ending up with disastrous haircuts so a couple of weeks back I put it on eBay and it ended up selling for £57.00 !!! What a crazy world.
OOS

I have the Wahl clipper and it does an excellent job and you will need the oil
Not available for delivery either collection in my area

Same here, really let down, when something is out of stock nationwide it should be taken off the website. Same with their eBay page, every item you're after is there, but it's just OOS.

Started using amazon and other sites like VERY. I won't bother with Argos now. This Pandemic simply showed there's much better places to shop

I've got one of these. Used it once so far and my partner spent what felt like hours (probably running for at least 30/45min on and off) cutting my hair. It was oiled as per instructions and wasn't too hot. Maybe you've got a faulty one?

Yes me! I ordered two because my friend needs a set for her lads & it was cancelled straight away! I assumed it was because I bought two but maybe not?
Says not available for collection and OOS for delivery...

Its not exactly 2.5mm armoured cable, and next to the weight of the clipper, the cable is nothing.
