How does this compare to the groomsman rechargeable for £12.97 delivered?

Is this battery operated as in AA battery and not rechargeable?

yes battery operated. you'll have to keep replacing

Giving it away! ordered!

Not that great for beards the slow speed leaves it patchy. Great pube trimmer

Thanks op! £3.32 after nus discount, have it!

Thanks op! Ordered for my girlfriend.

Ordered even though I've got the rechargeable version as I've always wished I had the battery operated one due to the one I have losing its charge so quickly. I have Good To Go rechargeable batteries which should work fine in this. Great deal OP. Heat added (this is a prime example of when Amazon Prime comes into its own - see what I did there? :p)

I would replace those good-to-go batteries with something a bit more reliable... all my 7-dayshop batteries are almost okay-to-gone by the time I go to use them

Yes I have one it uses 2 AA battery's, I use rechargeable ones in it, cracking wee trimmer for beard moustache.
I use just one of the length comb attachment which is ideal for me then the trimmer with no attachment to do outline/edges.

Mine have performed faultlessly for a couple of years now so I won't be replacing them anytime soon. Although I do have some Amazon Basics ones as well, and they have been fine so far (although only 6 months old). Maybe you should be looking at your charger? I have a Lidl one that at the time was suspected of being a rebadged Ansmann - and it's superb.

Chance your arm and email for a price difference refund if you are within 28 days of your purchase. I know it ain't much of a price difference but this is HotUKDeals lol

Thanks, ordered.

Ordered even though I wont use it. Doh!

Ordered, at £3.49 it's like magnolia, can't go wrong!

Great price, paid about £5 for mine from tesco and I thought that was cheap. Good little trimmer but it eats batteries and takes a while to do my stubble.

I have a beard and find it perfect. Certainly fast enough. Mine does get slower as the batteries drain though.

Thanks OP, ordered to replace the one I bought a number of years ago; a great little trimmer that has come to the end of its life after I got lazy and left it in water and the blades became a little rusty!

For those worrying about it being battery operated and not rechargeable, don't; you don't use it every day and the batteries last a good while. In fact in three years I can't remember replacing mine. I must have but you get the idea, I haven't had to replace them every other week.

Good brand, for those it may help, I finally managed to track down a U.K. Company that does wahl / moser spare parts and accessories. chsinteractive.co.uk - helped me out!

My understanding is alkaline AA's are rated at 1.5V (at the initial use - edited) and ni-cad rechargeable's 1.2V ish. Have you noticed any drop in power?

Is there much heat generated in the blade? I had one once and the blade got hot which guaranteed skin irritation!

its junk mine was £70 and way better, coldddd

Cheers OP, heat 2u, I've ordered using the preorder trick to get Free delivery!

this would be good if it was cabled or rechargable, i'm not voting either way tho

wholy moly
this is cheap

i have this and this battery model is more powerful than my rechargeable mains one!

Could someone recommend a rechargable alternative? I dont want to mess around with removable batteries all the time...

Had this set for a few years now. Great value and decent quality.
