Not going to vote either way. I recently bought 400g of breadcrumb cod for around £2.24 from lidl or aldi.

Plus, £3.33 for 330g fresh at Waitrose when buying 3 for £10 means chances are a lot will have to be frozen unless someone has a big family. So why not just buy frozen to begin with at a much cheaper price?

This is a recurrent offer from Waitrose. People seem to think they're expensive, but no worse than Sainsburys, and generally a much nicer atmosphere to shop in compared to the other supermarkets. Raising the minimum spend to get a free coffee has removed some of the students and local workers trying to get a freebie without spending anything
this deals been around since i was born!

Still a great long queue of freebie hunters at the coffee machine in my local Waitrose armed with their flasks.........
Waitrose used to send me £20 off £100 spends but not had any for nearly a year.
i used to buy this then very good

We've got some £8 off £40 vouchers at the moment. I go there for a quiet shop and a coffee periodically, but frequent Asda & Sainsburys too. Tesco is the one supermarket I go to least, but then we don't have a big store locally.

There is no minimum spend for a free coffee, just need to swipe the card. Removing the free cups removed the queues, now it tends to be full of pensioners waiting with their flasks.
I thought they'd applied a minimum £5 spend for the coffee and £10 for a free newspaper a while back

Came here to say this, not since i was born though but since i ventured to waitrose and realised it wasnt any more expensive than sainsburys& it's much better quality food& service.

Agreed - that little bit extra is definitely worth it for over 90% of the products!

Used for £5 minimum for free weekday newspapers, now its £10 for the free newspapers , coffee needed a purchase irrespective of value, but now the website says its free as long as you swipe.
MSC approved as well which is good

I don't think Waitrose got any cheaper, I think Sainsbury's lost it ways and became more expensive...
I have been buying this for years and until last week the fish this product was delicious with succulent loin of cod in light batter. However my last purchase was DISGUSTING. Instead of lovely fillet of flaky cod it contained a square-edged rectangular slab of 'shaped' white fish which did not resemble cod at all. May have been a one off dodgy batch, but I am going to have words with my store about it later!
