Then received an email last night after they took the money out saying they cancelled the order because they could.not honour it. So you came this post came to my rescue.

my bhs hamper did arrive and I don't mean to rub salt in to the wound but it was a good hamper for the money.

£25 for 60 cl?

Doesn't seem that great a deal to me either. That's a decent 70cl gin money without fruit in to ruin it

You know hampers are a rip off when even at half price they're way too expensive.

Even with the deal Prestat chocolates are £45/kg; not a bargain

Decent deal for a present but delivery cost kinda ruins it

All showing as sold out now.

Holy moly those were/are some expensive hampers!

at full RRP the £500 hamper reduced to £250 is about dead on the money. just shows how overpriced it was to start with... shame on Waitrose for trying to sell something for such an inflated price.

Well done on a great first post, it's a hot deal. Ignore those who can't … Well done on a great first post, it's a hot deal. Ignore those who can't see value when it's presented.

Hardly value for money.

I looked into the £150 down to £75 hamper.
I wrote down all the items and went to Aldi and bought all the items for just over £40. I bought the finest range not the standard cheapo stuff.
I feel sorry for anyone who paid £150 for £40 worth of items

Not actually true, as this article from the sun (top quality rag there) … Not actually true, as this article from the sun (top quality rag there) shows, the one in the picture is actually below cost price now.click for link to articleThey cost it up at £25.47, but don't include a box. So at £24 you get a nicely packed box for cheaper than you can buy it in the shops without leaving home

I was referring more to the £60ish ones, but yeah, fair doos.

Good for me. The one from £50 to £33 is actually not far off the individual item prices.

Preseco is at least £12. With cake, chocs, biscuits, mid £20's is probably about right. With gift wrapping its worth an extra fiver or so so i don't have to do it myself. £50 is however ridiculous.

So, deal for me.
