I thought it might be Turkey 🇹🇷 at those prices lol!
Hotel only. Does not include flights
Good price. Just had a look on Google maps, zoomed in and there was a picture someone posted of one of the rooms, it's more like a four star than five. Not sure if there is much to do there.
38116070-H11Wi.jpgRas al Khaimah now has the world's longest zip line
Doesn't include flights I see?
Doesn't include flights. So that makes it the same price as staying at Waldorf on the Palm. Not a great deal.

The cheapest WA The Palm I can find is £1339 without free cocktails/room upgrade. I have actually stayed in both. RAK WA is better
Okay, I admit to being a snob. I only stay in 5* hotels and only post deals I think are good value for a hotel I have stayed in. The tripadvisor link I have added gives the WA prices in Seychelles rupees, having taken advantage of another deal I posted re BA flights, the search gave local prices.

Look on Emirates Holidays. They are offering free upgrade to HB. I just stayed in June for £850 pp for 9 nights. I shall try RAK next time, thanks for the suggestion.
Sorry to be ‘that guy’, but Ras al-Khaimah is actually 4 emirates away from Dubai

Absolutely 5 star - this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and I have stayed in lots of top class hotels. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.
Be interested in seeing what you made your judgement on - since we stayed in a Deluxe and it was amazing - huge , walk in wardrobe that you could have put a bed in etc etc.

The building itself is actually 2 hotels - the Waldorf on one side and a different hotel on the other - which is certainly a 4* place - is it possible that you saw a room from that hotel?

Edit - there is not much there but a great beach / chill holiday - great beach, small shopping centre very close. A water park farily close which I havent been to. RAK itself is another 20-30 mins drive - I havent been so cant comment but dont think much there
It is expensive if you dont have HB which this deal does. .

cant be bothered looking but might be worthwhile to see if other agents are offering the same room / drinks upgrade deal so get a priced including flights

We always book direct through emirates.

Why are people surprised that flights are not included?
Have they even looked at the price and/or worked out what a WA hotel is and which chain this brand is at the top of?
Is it missing nkers from the first two letters?

A peril of posting 5* hotel deals is the uneducated comments of people who have never set foot in one. Needless to say, I could not possibly care less about 'votes'.
Two emirates away.

Sharjah first.

Not much there.

I drive through it going to Barracuda Beach Resort in Umm al Quawain
Says kids stay free. Are they still free places with his offer
Forgive my ignorance. Do these cocktails have alcohol in them?

I'd be shocked if they didn't. They have a lot of double standards in some of those countries in the region.
Ras Al Khaimah is a beach resort - not much to do. I think they have a mall (small by their standards) and is more for those who want to relax by the pool and do nothing.

Jumeirah Beach / Dubai is probably more like 1.5-2 hours away in peak hours - Dubai traffic is mental! Outside daytime its just over an hour and that is by car not by coach.

Good price by UAE standards but may be worth looking on virgin holidays last minute deals to include flights as Ive seen Ras Al Khaimah for £400pp based on 3/4 nights before (very last minute deals!)

The mall is vey small and nothing like any of the malls in Duabi.

The Waldorf RAK is approx 1hr from Dubai Airport - North - I cant recall the taxi fair but it was quite reasonable - say £55, By comparison Jumeriah beach hotels are approx 30mins from Dubai airport - heading south.

You have to watch the traffic back to the airport for flights - if during the UAE week - Sunday to Thurs then the traffic can be very heavy first thing as you pass Sharjah and that is where a lot of the workers live that travel into Dubai for work.

There is a Hilton Harma Beach next door to this - looks perfectly nice (I have walked around it) but no comparison with the WA and can be had a lot cheaper. There is also a DoubleTree on Marjan Island - havent been to the DT but suspect it may have more going on for families.

Making me want to go back !

The hotel does serve alcohol ...so I certainly imagine so.
If you are expecting to be in Dubai then your budget will soon go towards transport getting there and back.

Agree - good posts. Really important to understand RAK is nothing like Dubai - far smaller, less developed, less affluent and quieter. Worth combining with an additional brief sightseeing stay in Dubai if you haven't been. Do not be tempted to try and commute.
As mgk says it's a good plush hotel, good for a beach holiday. The atrium is spectacular and I've lived in smaller apartments than the junior suites. Service is what you'd expect.By far the best option is half board - expensive otherwise. There are a couple of eating places quite close by - cheaper than the hotel but still not cheap. You've got reasonable choice in the mall. Bear in mind the summer heat/humidity is crazy (even the bus stops out here have a/c!) and consequently walking anywhere is hard work - you'd have to take a taxi.
Alcohol is served in the hotel. One of the nearby restaurants even had a belly dancer act - so it's clearly one of the more lenient & relaxed emirates. The town itself is nothing special, neither is the small marina but worth a quick visit just to say you've been there. Various trips into the desert are offered and there's a good mountain to drive up (Think Top Gear did it)
The 'Golf' rooms basically overlook the road in front, the option to go for is deffo the 'Ocean view' if the price is right.
Stayed there last year. Really nice hotel. Had a suite, possibly the best room I’ve ever had.

Way too hot for me !!
I stayed there not long after it opened in 2013. Interiors in the hotel were stunning. Food was excellent. Back then to buy the buffet dinner ex drinks was I think around £50pp. Was mainly wealthy retired Germans & Dutch couples, practically zero children. If you want full luxury, quietness and to flop on a hot private beach without doing much more then it’s for you. If you want access in and out of Dubai and indeed other bars/ restaurants forget it. May have changed now but when I was there there really was nothing much else around the hotel. I would happily return. Based on this post I had a look at Emirates Holidays to price. I noticed this wording which may help some if looking to travel later than Sept which would be like an oven heat wise (which some love, and some detest): “FIT8.19 UK: Savings on stay valid from 04 May 2019 to 31 October 2019. Book by 31 August 2019. Kids Go Free Promotion: 2 children up to 11 years old stay eat and stay free on BB & HB valid from 04 May 2019 to 03 June 2019 and 08 June 2019 to 31 October 2019. Book by 31 August 2019. Special Transfer offer: : Complimentary return coach/shuttle transfers from Dubai International Airport (DXB), Sharjah International Airport and Ras Al Khaimah Airport to hotel for stays of 6 or more nights valid from 04 May to 31 October 2019. Book by 31 August 2019. FIT8.19 UK: Complimentary upgrade from breakfast to half board valid from 12 July to 07 August 2019, 17 August to 18 September 2019. Book by 31 August 2019.”

But look at the sea view along the Strait of Hormuz. You will see more British warships than if you visited Portsmouth.

Luckily I'm not bringing any oil tankers with me to the hotel on this occasion.
