Cheapest it's ever been, and significantly cheaper than the Chinese companies are selling

I picked this up for £399 just three weeks ago from these guys and THAT was a superb price....

At this price, go, buy 6 Openbuilds type polycarbonate wheels for the bed (about £3.50 - £5 each)
Go print a new radial blower mount and buy a £5 radial fan....

THAT's IT, this printer will then perform amazingly!,

Just finishing up printing a 37cm tall world cup trophy replica on it! can send pics when I get home

Full scale fifa World Cup printed with no supports! 37cm tall!
Nice
Awesome! What was the print time on that?
About 29 hours, 10% infill. deliberately slow so it was able to cope extremely well with zero supports!
Finally, someone has done something useful with these machines. I have one (another make) but have struggled to find applications beyond my hobby of character making :-D
OP, this or CR-10? Can't find too much info on this. Wondering in you can help?

Went through the same decision process as you...

At the end of the day why I went this...

Much more substantial construction
Smaller footprint on the desk
Easy touch screen control

EVERY 3D printer ‘needs’ upgrades.....seemed to me that mechanically wise, the wanhao is a much better platform from which to start

I'm coming from an Anet A8 so I've made plenty of upgrades. 2x mosfets, bowden extruder, Octoprint via rpi and printed more parts than I can remember. The quality of the prints I'm getting is pretty good so hoping this will take things to the next level. I'll let you know how I get on. Cheers

2 - Plans
thingiverse.com/thi…221

(though there's a better one now on facebook that i'm printing as soon as the fan arrives)

1 - wheels, see my blog at...Basically, ANY wheels'll do it
bleughbleugh.wordpress.com/201…gs/

yes, it comes with filament in the box, some fairly good printing white stuff
I also purchased a roll of transpanrent - which is a little tricky to print with

I purchased 5 rolls of various colours from shop.3dfilaprint.com/
have to say, their gold and silver prints amazingly well.....

i've also gotten a few rolls from Box....which are going alright too!....but the free sample of other filaments will keep me going back to the 3dfilaprint guys :-P

Having a few issues getting stuff to stick right now, gotta buy some isopropyl alcohol to clean the bed apparently. Never had an issue with rafts lifting though once that first layer is down....check your surrounds there, 3D printing is very temperamental , maybe you have a slight draft / breeze. Is it always lifting at the same side! Rotate the printer, see if the lift stays in the same part of the bed or if it moves....

But, enclosures are great if you can do one, especially for complex plastics, shouldn’t be needed for PLA though, use heated bed for first bunch of layers of a big print, no need after it gets a bit higher...mind you, it only draws 290 watts on / off whilst printing so probably an average of 200watrs per hour....5 hours / 1KW/h will only cost ya 35p

Note which way your wires are first though, mine needed swapping to match the polarity of what was already installed...
