I wouldn't normally submit a deal for a new CD, as they are usually quite overpriced IMO. However, I think this one is quite an exception due to the nature of the CD and the cause that it is supporting. And besides, it looks a cracking and interesting album. And, it will probably go up in price over the next few weeks.I am really not looking for any rep, so please do not give me any. All I want to do is allert the good people of HUKD that there is a cracking album out there for a decent price that will help children in war zones throughout this severely screwed up planet.

This is the best price that I can find with the various discounts applied; but Amazon/HMV have it for a similar price; a few pennies more.

'War Child : Heroes' is an unprecedented collaboration between music's most heralded legends and the finest current artists. The War Child charity asked 15 ultimate icons to select a favourite song from their classic back catalogue and to nominate the new act they most trust to create a unique interpretation of that hand-picked track. This album is the result : 15 exclusive and breath-taking cover versions.

All UK profits made by the record label EMI will be donated to War Child to help protect children living in the world's most dangerous war zones.

Because it's for charity..real good cause too...I give this the full force of my fiery heat. Seriously a great find

OK, is it just me or is there *any* reason at all for the US version of this album to be different from the UK one? Possibly rights I guess, but looking at amazon.com, the tracklist order is completely different (logic escapes me why that would be the case) and, even worse, the US version has 16 tracks compared to the UK's 15!

The additional US track is Leonard Cohen's "Take This Waltz", covered by his son Adam and it isn't even the last (aka "bonus") track on the US version either...
