Platoon: Seen through the eyes of a college drop-out, the war is a real nightmare, a private hell of fears from outside and in, with enemies on both sides of the line. His platoon's allegiance is split between leaders Sergeant Barnes and Sergeant Elias. Barnes is a scar-faced, gung-ho fanatic bent on destroying the elusive Viet Cong and anyone who disagrees with him. Elias is a different type of soldier--he has lost faith in the war, but not in man. Friction between the two sergeants leads to a second war, as deadly as the one being waged against the enemy.

The Thin Red Line: A powerful front line cast, including Sean Penn, Nick Nolte, Woody Harrelson, and George Clooney, explodes into action in this hauntingly realistic view of military and moral chaos in the Pacific during World War II.

Behind Enemy Lines: On a reconnaissance flight over eastern Europe, disillusioned naval pilot Chris Burnett (Owen Wilson) and his partner, Stackhouse (Gabriel Macht), photograph a scene they were not meant to see. When their plane is shot down and Stackhouse is quickly captured and executed, Burnett must struggle to survive in unfamiliar hostile territory with a cold-blooded assassin and hundreds of enemy troops on his heels.

Courage Under Fire: January 1991 : The world is watching the Gulf War. Day and night, millions tune into CNN-TV to see a real life and death drama played out in the cities and deserts of Iraq. As the US Forces take a starring role, the PR department at the White House is working overtime. What they're looking for is a hero. What they find is a scandal. What a troubled officer must now uncover is the truth...

Rescue Dawn: The true story of German-born Dieter Dengler, who dreams of being a pilot and eventually makes his way to the United States, where he joins the military during the Vietnam War era. Shot down and captured in Vietnam, Dieter, along with a handfull of other captives, decide to hatch an escape plan before it's too late...

Enemy At The Gates: While the Nazi and Russian armies hurl rank after rank of soldiers at each other and the world fearfully awaits the outcome of the battle of Stalingrad, the celebrated Russian sniper Vassili Zaitsev (Jude Law) quietly stalks his enemies one man at a time. His fame, however, soon thrusts him into a duel with the Nazi's best sharpshooter, Major Konig (Ed Harris), and the two find themselves waging an intense personal war while the most momentous battle of the age rages around them...

Tigerland: Roland Bozz, after being conscripted into the US army, joins a platoon of other young soldiers preparing to fight in Vietnam. He has no interest in fighting for his country and tries to get sent home as a trouble maker, but his superiors mistake his defiance as intelligence and he soon gets a chance to try his hand at leadership...

Windtalkers: In 1942, several hundred Navajo Americans were recruited as Marines and trained to use their language as code. Marine Joe Enders (Nicolas Cage) is assigned to protect Ben Yahzee (Adam Beach) - a Navajo code talker, the Marines' new secret weapon. Enders' orders are to protect his code talker, but if Yahzee should fall into enemy hands, he's to "protect the code at all costs." Against the backdrop of the horrific Battle of Saipan, when capture is imminent, Enders is forced to make a decision: if he can't protect his fellow Marine, can he bring himself to kill him to protect the code?

HOT, my favourite warish film, SNIPER Starring Tom Berringer and Billy Zane
Some great films on here, Thin Red Line has to be the pick for me. Just try and ignore Windtalkers - one of the worst war films ever made. Here's an example of just how ridiculous it is Youtube
I beg to differ,Enemy at the Gates, crackin read,Rachel Weisz & Jude Law with lardy-dah English accents ruined the film

Only 136 kills. Basically half of a large company. Or 1/7th of a battalion.

Bit of a slacker imo.
