Warburtons Medium/Toastie/Super Thick White 800g Bread - Any 2 for £2.00 at Tesco

Just noticed these are now on offer in Tesco (and also Sainsburys) - handy because they are now back up to normal price in Asda (where they were 2 for £2 also).

Good for stocking up - I always try to keep a loaf in the freezer in case I run out. They are £1.29 each - so you save 58p.

Also you get Double Clubcard points at Tesco, which makes it slightly better than Sainsburys, hence why I've posted it for Tesco. Also it's on right up until near Christmas in Tesco!

I thought that it was Kingsmill that was 2 for £1.50 there. This is Warburtons, which isn't discounted as often as Kingsmill.

It's a saving on an everyday item for most. Loads of the offers just now are for Christmas items etc, best not to forget the essentials.

Yep, was about to point the Iceland offer. With Iceland, there is also the choice of White or Brown

not bad for tescos, farmfoods do 2 for £1.50 on hovis bread too

I remember not so long ago when the concept of a *deal* on bread which equates to £1 a loaf would get you laughed out of town. 3 for £1 on Hovis used to be pretty common. I'm sure the cost of wheat can't have shot up that much.

That said, given the restrictions of reality, this is a warm deal for not bad bread.

Yeah, I remember you used to get BOGOF on bread - which is something that you never-ever see now! I think the price of wheat has actually shot up quite badly btw.

I'm not saying it's a super hot deal, but its a saving on an everyday item. This bread isn't discounted all that often - Hovis, Kingsmill offers are much more common.

I still think the 2 for £1.50 offer that the others are mentioning is for Kingsmill - which doesn't taste as nice IMO.

Our local Sainsburys are also doing this offer

Okay - so it might not be the biggest saving as a one off deal - but you will probably buy this every week.

Saving £3 off a box of chocolates is good (which would not come under nonsense as you put it, I assume) - but the £3 saving could be easily made up with the saving in this deal, since most people will buy this as a recurring purchase! So I don't see why this is not a deal! It's fine thinking about lavish savings on one-off Christmas products, but this can save you money on the essentials!

And I never-ever see these lines at £1 a loaf regularly. Other brands of bread yes, but not these.
