Really sorry, it's expired already! They must have only had a few
£2180 with 3 years UK warranty at Panamoz.
grey import so not the same
Stone cold: £2239 on SLRHut.. https://goo.gl/8nZDYY
If you have a decent set of pre-digital lenses, the Sony a1 seems to be the way to go. There seem to be many many lens adapters to almost any brand of lens on ebay and the Sony FE28-70 is a useful range and gets quite good reviews
Great price for a full frame camera with a lens.
Yea, a5100 only worked out 50 cheaper because of that, but just personally thought it was a better fit for casual use. I read somewhere that you could get the cashback buying via eBay if using one of the auth dealers. Makes sense really as you get a receipt from currys/argos.
no cashback on a5100, not sure you'd get it via their ebay shop anyway would you?
What is the point in posting "I got XXXX for £XXX" without any further information? :/ Guess what I got a Gold Plated Bugatti Veyron for 50p once.
They have always been good in-store, if you google it though, it seems if they make a mistake with their pricing then they do not honour it. I've purchased from Wex and Amazon before where they have done the same and both have honour their prices, even though they had made a mistake. Really good trade in allowance from Wex also, they will collect your old camera free of charge and if you are not happy with the offer they make then they return it free of charge also.
ok thats a bit crap but doesn't automatically make them worse than wex
Wasn't so much screw up, just bad customer service. Purchased a camera through them as it was a bit cheaper than elsewhere. My order was promptly cancelled, with the excuse that my card didn't meet their security requirements (never had problems anywhere else). They advised that I could order over the phone instead. I rang them up, I was then told the camera I had ordered was out of stock, but they did have another camera I could order instead. This was the exact same camera but with a different stock number but at a higher price. As they wouldn't honour the price they had advertised I went elsewhere. A better company such as Amazon or Wex would have honored their price (can vouch for this, having dealt with them before).
Cheers mate. Will go with your advice.
18-55mm is the very basic lens. If you can stretch your pocket a bit and get any 18 to above 100mm you'll enjoy the your results
I already have the 5D mkIII, but looking for an additional camera. I used to have a 550d, which took great photos in B/W, as I prefer to shoot in B/W rather than colour and edit, I'm useless on editing software so prefer not to edit photo's.
1920 x 1080 at 60fps max.. wouldn’t bother. Shame canon is way behind on the 4k front. Aside from this, their camera’s are amazing.
Is it worth getting the one with 18-55mm lens for 754 with discount and than canon cashback which brings it to 669?
Who cares what the RRP was, it can be £1.9m for all I care, £44.99 is a good price.
To be fair, when they say "better than half price" they don't say who it's better for.
Still a decent price. Cheapest elsewhere is £65.
Sorry, but the "WAS" prices are BS. They're RRPs.
No-one gonna discuss this?
thats foreign muck
It's cheaper @ DigiRev
What the hell's cashbacn? Is it a contraction of cash and bacon?
Decent price after cashbacn
2% Quidco at Wex also.
Oh, I shoot FUJIFILM now, for no other reason than it being retro.
Anyone have any idea how long it takes to receive the cashback after submitting the form?
There's some comparisons here.. https://www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Panasonic/Lumix-DMC-LX100 Sony A7 https://www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Sony/A7
and equally irrelevant!
Depends on what you want really. A D3400 with the standard kit zoom (£375) has considerably better image quality than the LX100.
Gutted! Would’ve loved to get this
Same. DIscontinued here.
Me too! :(
It says discontinued for me. 🤔
Agreed about the colour getting dirty. I've gone for the black version at £30 on ebay which is still a discounted price. Need the extra space at further needless expense haha. Thanks OP.
Price reduced - plus 2 years Sony Warranty
I have one of these, amazing camera. Was lucky enough to get mine a year or two ago before they went up in price, and even more lucky to have got a returned one from John Lewis with £90 knocked off
sure, maybe you should get a loan of coathangers book
I think you are just very confused what you are talking about! But not too worry. :)
Price has gone up with Wex, still available for the same price but no extended Warranty from here.. https://www.harrisoncameras.co.uk/pd/Sony-Alpha-A7-Digital-Camera-with-28-70mm-Lens_ILCE7KB-CE
It was a v good deal with the lens included. Not sure how often these prime deals come up but obviously worth looking out for. Believe this is the best deal right now.
And for an extra £34 2 years accident cover. Total price £654 for camera, lens and 2 year warranty
for the billionth time - it came with the lens!
It was a good deal if you already had a lens, otherwise this is a better deal. The lens is £270 new on eBay so £620 + £270 = £890, whereas this works out at £833, plus you get an extra years Warranty.
This would be hot if it was the RT
Oh, absolutely hilarious.
Best fun setting these off when people come past speeding on the road. See how fast the brake lights come on.
I can't see it cheaper on amazon. To get the cashback you have to buy from Amazon themselves not someone on Amazon market place
I wasn't aware of that. I have both.
Code had expired
Missed the coupon code... thank GOODNESS! lol It wasn't exactly the back I wanted anyway!
Great deal OP. I was tempted, but I think it's too big for me.
Nearly went for it, but have 4 camera bags already.... BTW, if you live near Norwich you can save £2.99 and pick up from store.
Great deal - have gone for it 8)
You might as well just do hand helds.
Is it good one? I am looking for sth up to £40 for dslr.
that one looks pretty horrible tbh the one from wex is more expensive and youd need to spend more on it to get the equivalent such as on bags, shutter remote and phone adaptor so even more expensive... but looks much better
Comparing this to this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01875PT46?psc=1 which one is better, im planning on using it for my phone
Seems they've since removed the bag. Maybe they dropped the price and forgot to remove the bag? It's a shame as it's quite a nice bag. Amazon recently matched WEX price without the extra warranty and sold out instantly.
Typically sells for around £800 for a used model, so a 12.5% premium for a new model with an extra year's warranty seems very reasonable to me. Can't see the free bag listed though?
TCB tracked at £26.97
Rain cover? Just get a Tesco/Asda/Sainsburys Bag-for-Life, cut a hole the size of a screw-in UV filter and tape in place.
Probably the same as you'd get with a rucksack rain cover. Better than not having one ;)
How good is the rain cover? Ive bought water proof coats for the kids cheap and brought home drenched rata X)
Cheapest elsewhere seems to be around £70. There's 5% Quidco also.
It's the cheapest around at the moment, not seen it cheaper either. Think the next is £60 and then you're around the £70 mark.
There's also the A7R which might be better for some people if you don't need blistering fast AF, and want a little more detail in your images https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sony-a7r-mirrorless-interchangeable-lens-camera-899-wex-with-free-billingham-bag-2707716
Image quality will depend to a large extent to the lens used, but would be very surprised if the Fuji raw files have the same potential as those from the Sony.
trust me, i compared my fuji xt20 with a7ii in terms of IQ. I really shocked as the Fuji absolutely beat. Sharpness, colour by fuji are amazing.
i cannot say your phone is better than this camera. However, i think it is right to say that you can find so many better cameras at this price
Why would you spout such hyperbole? On what planet is this crap? Are the pics and video that it makes crap? Seriously now.
i can hardly believe it - pay over double and get something better? well i never!
Got the Befree a month ago, fantastic, light, strong and so quick to set up, fits in a small bag too, and you get the manfrotto warranty
If you can afford it, get a Manfrotto Befree. About twice the price, but unless you will be using a huge camera, it'll last a lifetime.
Any suggestions on alternatives then?
Agree with the other comments and it's quite short too.
