£17.99 seems like a pretty good deal for this, as it's >£20 at most places.

Yes, it's a bit confusing - these are two completely different games, this Deathwatch game is a turn based strategy game which is a port of a mobile game. Deathwing which is on its way to consoles is a first person shooter which is a port of a pc game.

Admittedly Games Workshop are to blame for their fondness towards calling stuff with death in the name...

The DeathWatch are a specialist division of the Inquisition, the Ordos Xenos who focus on wiping out aliens although they don't have their own soldiers, instead they borrow Space Marines from other Chapters. On induction to the Death Company, they take their existing armour which is painted black with one shoulder plate left showing the original Chapter colours.

The Deathwing are the elite first company of the Dark Angels Chapter, whereas the Chapter colours are dark green the Deathwing paint their armour a white colour and they all deploy in Terminator armour.

There's also the Death Company who've yet to feature in any games, they are a division of the Blood Angels who have succumbed to a genetic defect that makes them believe they are fighting a final battle and will fight to their death. The fact the Blood Ravens in the Dawn of Wars series do not suffer this defect indicates they are not related to the Blood Angels.

The one on eBay is maybe a scam. A lot of these around where 100% feedback accounts are hacked and games and items are sold in large quantities for significantly less than they are worth so they withdraw the money with no intention of sending. You are covered by PayPal but its probably not worth it.

EDIT: APPEARS A GENUINE SELLER! FEEDBACK HAS BEEN RECEIVED FOR THIS GAME SENT TO PEOPLE, BUT BARE IN MIND THE ABOVE WHEN GAMES ARE CHEAPER THAT THEY SHOULD POSSIBLY BE.

That being said seller has 927 items for sale! Never normally do the scammer ones have more items. Maybe worth the punt as you say.

Yep 100% feedback is worse than someone with low feedback
Port of a mobile phone game. Not really any good IMHO. Far better games available for the money.

Yeah although the trending scammers lately have been hijacking accounts that have been made years ago with 100% feedback so worth keeping an eye out for.

Reading the reviews even £12 seems to much better putting that towards something else, but heat as it's the cheapest . But I'll wait till it's for sale under a fiver on the PSN store.
Ordered this yesterday when it was posted, is this going to be another poor port of a cheap mobile game?

No mate, I believe the seller is legit. But he is not selling UK copies, hence the price difference.

Fairplay buddy. Think I am just very sceptical when it comes across as a lot cheaper!

I’m totally with you. Also, I’m one of the many watchers on that listing myself. It’s been on for sometime. I mean to buy the game at some point but so far other priorities stopped me buying it. I think the copies he’s selling are Spanish. They’re European but not UK copies. I don’t mind the cover tbh if the price is justifiable which in this case it is, IMO.

Defo buddy you can never be too careful. Infact I can see the feedback, 2 left saying they are good next to the sold amount. A good price and whether its a different country copy they are all region free which for the most part is no issues as long as DLC doesn't cause any issues etc
Edited my first comment as unfair for eBayer to be portrayed to be a scammer when they are not. Good post OP.
Bought this a while ago for £10 at CEX. It's a nice game and a lot of fun for 40K or XCOM fans.

I think you mean vermintide not deathwing mate. And yes they’re different. This is turned based, the other one is some sort of action RPG.

I've been keeping an eye on the PC prices to reach a low enough price it's worth a go, it doesn't have a great reputation but I do like how much effort they've put into making it authentic particularly bringing Gav Thorpe into it. A lot of the issues appear to be PC performance issues and lack of optimisation, hopefully it will be better on consoles.
my copy turned up today from the ebay seller it was new and sealed and is a UK copy

edit

no intrusctions what so ever for controls, no Manual on home screen and no book
