Have one of these under Cuisinart branding, excellent bit of kit which normally retail for around £120

Make hearty hot soups, sauces and much more with the Waring WSM1U Soup Maker.

Much more than just a blender, this ingenious device has a rapid 1000-watt heating element and non-stick cooking plate that can brown vegetables, boil liquids and simmer soups. You can then blend your ingredients to the consistency you desire, from its 4 variable speed settings. There is also a pulse function.

Controlled digitally, the Waring WSM1U Soup Maker is easy to use, and can also be used as a blender to make smoothies, dips, dressings and even crush ice. A three-year guarantee is included for peace of mind.

Does this do anything that the hob and hand blender I already have can't?
One of the laziest devices a kitchen can have.
I tend to find that a large pan generally suffices for making soup.

Even if used as a blender this is cheap for the quality and 3 year warranty.

I have one & it saves a lot of time. Chuck everything in, turn it on & 20/25mins later you have soup. No need to check, no need to stir, to maybe add more water etc etc.

The problem with these is the cleanup. Depending on what you use & how much you put in, then it can burn at the bottom & the caked in food literally has to be scraped off.

Actually, you're wrong.

An electric tin opener takes that accolade.

And worryingly, I have one in my kitchen.

More worrying, after I'd gone mental at 'er indoors for buying the fecking thing, I discovered that I hadn't the faintest idea how to use it. Still don't.

Oh well.
Biggest waste of money ever. Just use a pan and then use a hand blender. This cant saute the vegetables either. i reccomend spending half the price on a decent hand blender which has multiple uses. i use mine for soup. breadcrumbs and general blending or chopping. also makes good slushes with ice!!!

Yeah because all the reviews are terrible, not! I think you'll find that anyone who actually owns this and doesn't just make assumptions thinks its brilliant! It is a deal site after all and this is a great price for the product. Still each to their own, only trying to help people, I already have one and love it
What a complete waste of money.

Nothing more than a fancy slow boiling kettle.

Calm down dear.

I think the point that people are making is that it's actually rather easy to make your own soup without one of these things. Hence, they're a bit of a waste of money.
good deal imo
